We took a nice vacation to a resort in Florida. We decided to attend the Timeshare Presentation that we were notified of. It was a beautiful presentation and everything offered was wonderful. We thought it would fit our lifestyle and plans for future trips. We did have one request that was a deal b...reaker and we were informed that there was no problem with the request. As we continued with the purchase, we questioned every person about our request and continued to be reassured that there was not a problem. We were told that we would receive a document that would assure our request. As we started our payments, we followed up frequently with our Salesperson telling him that we never received the document. We finally contacted the Time Share number where could register a complaint. We were told that our request would never be honored. Even with documented proof of the promise, it was against policy. At this time we began looking for legal advice and found Susan Budowski. She listened to our story and reviewed our evidence, and agreed to take our case. During our trip to Disney, we signed a timeshare contract without knowing all the negative consequences (high maintenance fees, inexistent rebates of RCA, etc). I had just purchased a timeshare and regretted my decision right away. I had decided to cancel my contract as allowed within the cooling period of the contract and sent all the documentation as per the term of the contract. As being a citizen of an other country i contacted suzan has i was worried i... could have miss an important step. I had made a consultation appointment via her webpage in the middle of the night. Suzan called me the next morning and reassured me that I had took the appropriate step. She advised me that i didn’t need to hire her just to do the same step as it would be money wasted. She was right. The step i had took were sufficient and the contract was cancelled. It was really nice of her to take time to reassure us. She did not took advantage of our situation to charge me to perform work that was legally not required. My 87yr old Mother received a letter stating she owed monies (a lot of money) for a Timeshare she hasn't used in years. The company stated it was for Maintenance, Taxes, Legal fees etc..
