As a fourth generation Floridian, Jacob was born and raised in Central Florida. He went on to Emory University to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Philosophy, and Political Science. After Emory, he went on to Stetson University to receive his Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration.
Prior to founding Stuart, Mount, & Boylston P.A., Jacob was an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando, Florida. As an Assistant Public Defender, Jacob tried over 100 misdemeanor and felony trials, from beginning to end, earning a reputation as a successful and tireless advocate for his clients. In addition, he handled thousands of criminal cases, with a mindset of “not settling for a plea deal”, but rather assuring that each client was represented in the best manner possible; preserving every client’s rights in making sure the State of Florida was properly prepared to meet their burden of proof.
In November, 2015 Jacob received the prestigious "Top 10 Attorneys Under 40" award in the State of Florida from the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDA). In addition, Jacob was recently recognized a “Rising Star” By Super Lawyers 2015. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. This designation is only awarded to 2.5% of the over 100,000 lawyers in Florida.
Today as the Managing Partner of Raised to Protect Law: Stuart, Mount, & Boylston P.A., Jacob continues to focus on criminal law, while also helping grow the others areas of practice in the Firm. Since its founding, the Firm has been tried more criminal jury trials than any other Firm in Central Florida.
