Awesome
Mrs. Cavey is very thoughtful with her cases, she treat her clients as family, and she knows the law very well. She has been successful in everyone of my cases and to every referral I have made. If you need a disability attorney, don't look any further you has found her.

Horrible experience
Run, don't walk for this attorney. Doesn't know what's she's doing. You never speak with her except to sign contract. Beware. Doesn't seem to know you have to flag an application for compassionate allowance. And to think, she was referred to me from the Huntingtons Center of excellence. My spouse is...

Surprised at the lack of sensitivity
Her book is excellent. I highly recommend it. It tells you a lot about Social Security Disability if you are new to the process. However, she doesn't adhere by her own words such as she will meet with you and go over your case and decide if she will take it. That never happened. I met with her staf...
My father who was disabled and on Social Security disability benefits and, as a result, I am full of compassion for those who are in need. I and my paralegals Teresa and Stasha, pride ourselves on helping those with mental health issues get the Social Security disability benefits they deserve. Many of our clients are referred by psychologists, psychiatrists, and mental health counselors. The Social Security disability process isn’t easy and that is why team work and the cooperation of our clients is crucial. Without violating the attorney client relationship, an initial intake was done and, because of my vacation schedule, an initial appointment with both Teresa and Stasha was held in 6 working days after the call! A contract was signed after we had an opportunity to explain the Social Security fee and answer her questions. We explain the 5 step sequential evaluation process used in every Social Security Disability claim and the claims process. We never want our clients to be overwhelmed and want to make sure all of your questions are answered! Our client was asked to complete a Disability Report-Appeal form which is required in the appeal of every denied claim. We explained that an appeal couldn’t be filed with the form. She asked questions and indicated she understood all of our answers and what had to be done. Unfortunately, 3 days later we got a message from her advising she had ripped up the form that had to be completed! We can’t file an appeal if we don’t’ have all the right information and forms. Communication is a two street and, after leaving several unreturned messages, we had no choice but to withdraw as her attorney. She was given all of her material back timely and even given the names of 3 other Social Security attorneys who might be a better fit. We do understand and love helping clients, but if they can’t help us by filing out necessary forms, we just can’t help them.
"I have been referring clients to Nancy for long term and short term disability benefits for over 10 years. She is professional and aggressive and could write a book on ERISA claims. I highly recommend her!"
