Best Immigration Law Firm

My partner and I have been with the Devore law group for almost 6 years now and we are so happy we found them. My partner had some complicated issues with visitor and seasonal work visas that were successfully navigated by Mr. Devore and his team. We now have permanent residency status due to their h...ard work and expertise. Marianne Rahm applied for National interest Waiver for me which subsequently allowed me to apply for permanent residency and as a result my partner was also eligible for permanent residency. Throughout all our (many) visa applications, the Devore Law Group was outstanding in terms of depth of knowledge, hard work and service. We could not have asked for more from them. They definitely care for their clients and go above and beyond the service provided by many other lawyers. We cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Devore, Marianne Rahm and Laura Kelly for all they have done for us.

The best!

I was lucky to be referred to Mr. Devore by one of his acquaintances whom I had worked with in the past. My mother and I have dealt with a few other lawyers in the past, all of which lead us in the wrong direction, and made our already messy case even more complicated. For years I’ve been despera...tely trying to find a reliable immigration lawyer who would be willing to take the time and listen to us, and shed light on our case. After reading all the great reviews on Avvo, I had no doubt in my mind that we were in good hands. Mr. Devore was quick in replying to my emails and providing information. I got in touch with his office and I can tell you the staff at Devore Law was just as great. Being overseas, communication could've been an issue, but Mr. Danny Marquez [paralegal] and I corresponded via Skype. Danny made an appointment for us to have consultation Mr. Devore on Skype; he was helpful when I had an issue with the payment, and he was very helpful in getting all the paperwork put together correctly. During our Skype consultation call, Mr. Devore was quick to get straight to the point. He asked us a couple of questions, and then he told us everything we've wanted to know for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, as Mr. Devore himself said, our case is a complete MESS! And immigrating to the US really is not an option for us for the time being. None the less, the information that he gave us was more than we could've asked for. It’s better to have shed light on the ugly truth, rather than living in the shadows for years, not knowing what our situation was. We’re now thinking about Canada, and Mr. Devore was kind enough to refer us to a colleague of his in Toronto. Also, I know that many people worry if the lawyer in question is knowledgeable enough to deal with the immigration issues that different nationalities deal with. I mean, immigration to the US isn't just from South America! Unfortunately, there are a lot of lawyers who've forgotten about the other continents and only look at this as a “business”, they've forgotten about helping people. Just for your info, my mother and I are Greek and Armenian, from Istanbul, Turkey. I would refer Mr. Devore and his team to anyone, without hesitation. Quick, kind, caring, and efficient, they did what 3-4 lawyers couldn't manage in a less than a day, simply because the others simply couldn't be bothered with such a complicated case. Thank you again for your help.

A+++ Attorney

My wife and I faced a very difficult situation, when I married her on a tourist visa during her visit in the U.S, while I was on H1B visa. Upon my wife's return to her birth country, she was refused H4 visa when she wished to rejoin me in the U.S and was barred from rentry. Naturally, this shocked b...oth our families and placed a great burden on both of us. I consulted various well known attorneys and received options such as applying for a waiver or relocating to another country. In fact, I emailed other attorneys on AVVO, including Jeff to help me with our situation. Most of the consultations I had did not provide us with much hope, until I consulted with Jeff. He showed confidence and simplified my case to show me how the Consulate's position had no basis for the decision they had reached. Jeff assured me that our circumstance clearly does not break any law and how he would resolve the case. The Consulate's inital response was not very satisfactory, so Jeff contacted the State Dept directly to make our case even stronger. We put our trust in Jeff's expertise and eventually they gave my wife a second chance and she was issued a H4 visa. No doubt the whole process was slow and painful, but Jeff and his team kept us encouraged throughout. A lot of patience was required and Jeff's team worked hard to resolve our case. On behalf of my entire family, I take this opportunity to thank Jeff and his team for doing an amazing job and obtaining my wife the right to rejoin her husband. May God bless them and continue to give them success!

Kept me calm through the process

My wife was immigrating from Russia and we had many misgivings especially after being rejected a tourist visa the previous year. Despite our many questions and imagined dooms day scenarios Jeff constantly reassured us and gave us perspective on the good prospects we had for receiving our visa. BEca...use of complications concerning my visa status in Russia we had to either stay another 3 months in Russia after our interview or plan to leave exactly 1 week after the interview without knowing if we would be forced to separate because of some unforeseen problem with her immigrant visa. He assured us that our decision to gamble and buy tickets for the week after the interview was a good one and he was right. THey gave us the visa the same day as the interview and we flew to NYC the following week as planned. Throughout the year long process both Jeff and Danny (who helped us fill out much of the paper work) dealt calmly and professionally with our sometimes frantic calls for help. Because they are in Florida I think they have many more immigration cases from countries other than Russia so they were not always as familiar with the difficulties arising from dealing with bureaucracy in Russia. However they always told us when they didn't know an answer and contacted the consulate to find out the information we needed. They never pretended to know something they didn't which I very much appreciated and always got back to us quickly with answers once they had them. In all it was a very smooth process with them and I always felt far calmer after I spoke with them. In the end they did get us through the process without any problems and we are very grateful.

Jeff Devore

I have worked with Jeff Devore for over 12 years on immigration matters large and small, simple and complex. We first used Jeff's services in 1997 to handle visa requirements for offshore temporary workers at our hotel in Palm Beach County. In all instances he was able to successfully obtain the nece...ssary work permits. Later, he successfully obtained a Permanent Resident status for one of our chefs. More recently, I have been working directly with Jeff on a more complex immigration matter involving a worker in my equestrian operations. This case was particularly difficult ( an appeal of a Labor Dept. denial had to be taken), but once again Jeff succeeded. Jeff Devore is the finest Immigration Attorney I have known (I have worked with several others as well.) He has an excellent understanding of the law and a system in constant change (Arizona, anyone?).More importantly, he is very compassionate and sympathetic to his clients' cause. He has even taken on the local authorities in denying driver licenses to those who have immigration applications still pending. How many lawyers would do that?

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
