A former U.S. Customs attorney with 15+ years in private practice, he has experience helping importers and exporters get seized merchandise released by U.S. Customs, reducing penalties issued by U.S. Customs' Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures Office, providing export compliance advice to companies which may include submitting disclosures to or negotiating settlements for export violations with the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and litigating customs broker licensing or tariff classification cases in the United States Court of International Trade.
