James S. Cunha, Esq. is the Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of James S. Cunha, P.A. Mr. Cunha primarily focuses his practice on family and marital law. While attending the undergraduate program at the University of Florida, Mr. Cunha earned two separate bachelor degrees in the majors of Finance and Political Science while obtaining a minor in Economics. After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Cunha remained in Gainesville, Florida where he earned his Juris Doctor from the Fredric G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. In order to obtain immediate courtroom and trial experience, Mr. Cunha became a prosecutor in Palm Beach County. After several years as a felony prosecutor and over a hundred jury trials, Mr. Cunha established the Law Offices of James S. Cunha, P.A.
Mr. Cunha represents clients in a wide range of divorce and family law-related cases involving multimillion dollar marital estates, simplified divorces, equitable distribution, alimony or spousal support, child custody and parental time-sharing, parental relocation, post-judgment modification involving alimony and child support, including enforcement of temporary or final orders.
Because of his strong reputation for providing clients top caliber representation and dedication towards producing excellent results, Mr. Cunha has also been sought out by corporations and individuals to litigate complex civil cases. In addition to divorce and family law, Mr. Cunha litigates a limited number of civil matters involving large commercial agreements, coverage disputes in multimillion dollar life and commercial insurance policies, and cases of catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
