Isolated ,uninformed

I had a very strong case against a former employer and needed an attorney to close it. Was grateful that Mr Behrens took the case. Thanks Mr Behrens. However after calling his office to speak to him 4 times during the proceedings, I was told that he does not take phone calls ,I have to email him.I ...was never allowed to meet this Attorney and thus felt isolated and uninformed. A mediation was arranged to settle my case and even then, this Attorney never met with me or call once to give me any guidance going into the Mediation. I ended up settling for less than the case was worth because I didn't understand the process. To make matters worst, the monies awarded to me was sent to Mr Behrens on time by my former employer.It was sent via Certified checks so no need to be cleared.i suggested that I be paid the total amount in one check, the payment was in 3 parts. Mr Behrens received the final payment and is to send me my check.I am still waiting to recieve my money. I think this is a unnecessary delay since he was paid a Certified check. Still waiting, after waiting patiently for 45 days for the award to be paid in full. Final payment sent to Attorney 12/15/12.today is 12/28/12 .still no check sent to me. I am very disappointed .

I feel that there should be some clarification on this client's comments. First, this client retained me after she was already unhappy with another major law firm in town. I was retained and within approximately 90 days, I settled her case for her. I did speak with her on the phone on many occasions, but told her what I tell many of my clients, for quickest response, e-mail me since I respond to e-mails at all hours of the day, but phone calls sometimes require some phone tag between us. This client was fully advised of all of her rights and decided to settle the case of her own free will and volition. She was not forced to accept any settlement offer. In fact, after the mediation and settlement she advised me how happy she was with the final result. The settlement payment was made in three parts, and the client elected to her her portion out of the final payments. The first time when this client got disgruntled was when the final payments came in and I could not cut an immediate check to her because the funds had not cleared. I am not able to write out a check to a client from my trust account on funds that have not cleared. Bank checks, as were issued in this case, are not immediately cleared funds and stop payments can be issued on bank checks. The particular client also never updated this posting to reflect the fact that she did, in fact, receive all agreed upon funds from my office shortly after she posted this derogatory review.

Scott Behren is a BULL DOG!

10 years ago I become involved in a trademark lawsuite against a VERY large public company. Every attorney I spoke to turned me down, until I found Mr. Behren. He asked for the details, then he took my case. With incrediable skill he brought this public company to their knees, to the point THEY as...ked what would it take to settle! Mr. Behren has since handled at least 3 more matters for me and won each. He is gifted with the ability to absorb complicated details, reduce them to the most understandable form then focus like a laser. You can't do better than Mr. Behren!
