Dear Denise, Thank you so very much for your heartfelt words (a/k/a #HaberPA's 174th AVVO Client Review), for your leap of faith in hiring #HaberPA and permitting us to serve as your attorneys and for the privilege of having been able to earn your recommendation. I have used / use various taglines (including but not limited to "At #HaberPA it's all about reasonable doubt", "#HaberPA: From traffic to trafficking" and "#HaberPA... 24-7-365, 360°") but you may have inadvertently inspired my next tagline: "#HaberPA: Winning cases by critical analysis of every detail since 1991"... or something like that. :-) Again, please accept my gratitude and best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season. Warmest regards. MAH/Esq

Quick response and Helpful

I asked a question in regards to my loved ones case and Mr. Haber responded very quickly and unfortunately was not able to help as he informed that my issue required an appellate attorney. He went as far as to recommend me one. Awesome. Thank you Mr. Haber.

Dear Elizabeth, Thank you so very much for taking the time to author your kind review. I have answered more than 25,000 questions on AVVO, accordingly I field an absolutely re-donk-u-lous amount of follow-up emails and phone calls, and while I hope (and maybe even kinda expect) client reviews from folks with whom I have built a solid attorney-client relationship over time, when they come from someone who simply asked a question on AVVO and merely followed up with an email or phone call, well in those cases I neither presume nor suppose to receive any public feedback... making yours (#HaberPA's 173rd Client Review) all that more prestigious and special to me. So thanks, danke, gracias and merci... I am much obliged. Wishing you and yours a happy and a healthy holiday season. Fondly, MAH/Esq

Peace of Mind!

In the midst of what, for our family was a truly troubling time, I hired Michael to represent my sister to fight a serious felony charge, that if convicted would impact her life forever, specifically diminish her relationship with her 8 month old baby because of jail time and end her career that she ...has worked so hard for. Without hesitation, Michael took on her case, was clear and honest from the beginning about the challenges we faced, but at the same time gave me a sense of hope. Michael is an expert at what he does. He is strategic, concise, aggressive and most importantly a CREATIVE defense attorney. I have worked as a paralegal in law firms for over 10 years and I have a Doctorate in Human Resources Development. Based on his work in our case, I can tell you that he is not only an excellent attorney but a leader who takes command of a situation, evaluates the various possible outcomes, and shines a light allowing the Client to put his/her best foot forward. In short, my sister's case is being "No Actioned" and what that means is that the Michael has convinced the State to dismiss her case prior to the arraignment, which is the formal commencement of the criminal process. How did he do this you may ask? Well, he and his team quickly secured sufficient evidence to package and present to the State Attorney to prove that the facts underlying my sister's arrest were manufactured by the alleged victim (alleged victim being the father of her child who broke into my mother's home, beat my sister in front of my mother and kidnapped her child, then drove to another city and made a false police report causing my sister to be arrested two days later - even after having an Order from a Judge awarding her FULL custody of her child and a restraining order against the boyfriend). There could not have been a better outcome. We won, my sister won and our family has peace now. We can all breathe now and that's because of the work Michael and Carlos (the investigator) did. I will also share with you all who read this that even after delivering the news to me last night by phone, Michael shared with me his personal advice as to what he thinks should happen next outside of his representation. That simple action tells me and anyone who reads this that he cares and his care goes well beyond the case at hand. Michael performs with what many experts in the ethics community call a "duty of care" - and you can't ask for anything else. His humanistic perspective is critical to the work he does and many legal practitioners could learn from him. If your contemplating hiring him but have some personal reservations, trust that he will bat for you and he is the best batter in the league!

“Dear Anonymous, Thank you very much for your incredible and comprehensive summary (i.e. #HaberPA's AVVO Client Review #172). Until today I had thought that #170 was our apogee but then you posted this and, well, I guess that I'm either on a run of representing highly literate clients or I've stepped up my game. :-) In all seriousness, thank you, truly and humbly, but please give yourself (and your mom) credit as well, for I could not possibly have accomplished what I did for your sister without the two of you being actively involved. You came to me the day after arrest / booking and told me that the cops had falsely arrested your sister. Our goal was to convince the State NOT to file charges, and we had a 3 week window before Arraignment to do so (ultimately, working with the State Attorney we extended that window an additional 2 weeks). After arming me with facts that were not contained in the Arrest Affidavit (the arresting officers were operating on partial - about 25% - and entirely -100% - one-sided information) you then equipped me with the tools that I needed (you retained my PI and cooperated by providing sworn affidavits) so as to gather the proof requisite to achieving our objective... and so we did... but it was a group effort. Those 2 beautiful words "No Action" (meaning that the case is dismissed before it is formally filed) will echo for a while. I cannot - no one can - undo the fact that your sister was arrested but, thanks to her family, substantial justice was achieved on her behalf. I don't know that my words are quite as eloquent or meaningful as yours, but I truly and wholeheartedly thank you for your leap of faith, your steadfast assistance and also for #HaberPA's AVVO Client Review #172. Gratefully, MAH/Esq.”

My Lawyer The Hero!

I called Mike Haber, P.A. after getting in some trouble (unfortunately) that could have seriously changed the course of my life as well as future business endeavors. I will refrain from naming the legal issue; but, Mike handled my case with the upmost professionalism, never allowing me to feel defeat...ed, and always had a positive but realistic outlook on the outcome of my case. Needless to say, with Mike's vast legal knowledge and being a highly respected member of Miami's legal community my case was dismissed and expunged much sooner than we had thought. I will be forever thankful and grateful for Mike's hard work and dedication to me and every client he takes on.

Dear Anonymous, I have been called many things but "Hero" is a first! (Note that I graciously accept that role and responsibility and just wonder if I need to come up with a moniker... perhaps "The Marvelous Mouthpiece"?) :-) Seriously, thank you. I am especially moved by knowing that apart from being a competent legal advocate I also managed to give you a sense of encouragement, especially with my awareness of just how badly you felt about having been wrongfully caught up in the legal process because of a situation that you neither created nor could control. I am very happy that we came out on top and I am most grateful for your kind time, words and act in posting #HaberPA's 172nd Client Review on AVVO. So who's awesome? You're awesome! Gratefully ==> MAH/Esq.

I Made the Right Call!

When his daughter Jean died Mark Twain wrote, “Possibly I know now what the soldier feels when a bullet crashes through his heart.” Sadly, as a parent I too can now relate. Late last year I received a call from a police officer friend who told me that my son had rear ended a stopped police car, i...njuring a police Sergeant in the police car and critically injuring his girlfriend who was the passenger in my son’s car. She was trapped inside of the vehicle and while it was on fire she was carried out of the driver’s side. The firey car crash was clearly captured on police dash cam video, my son’s blood was taken and it turned out that he was very intoxicated at the time. Not knowing what to do I turned to a trusted attorney friend who strongly recommended me to Mike Haber. I called Mike and the very next morning he and I met, and then together we went to the hospital to see my son. Mike interviewed my son with a surprising amount of knowledge and empathy. He understood our shock, emotions and also the immediate need to address the underlying issue of alcohol abuse. (Sadly, this disease runs in my family, having gotten me too, although I’ve been sober for more than 40 years.) To simultaneously help my son with both his substance abuse and psychological and emotional issues (and as it turned out it was also a strategic tool for the case) Mike recommended inpatient treatment immediately after discharge from the hospital at a dual diagnosis facility. He explained that my son would spend 3 months inpatient, then step down to a halfway house and finally would come home and participate in intensive outpatient treatment. By structuring a plan to help my son on both personal and professional levels it was apparent that Mike genuinely cared about my son’s interests both outside and inside of the courtroom. But Mike’s strategy didn’t end there. As the case progressed we brought on experts to help build a defense (a forensic toxicologist for blood evidence issues, an accident reconstructionist for crash evidence and a forensic psychologist for mitigation). I honestly wasn’t sure why Mike insisted on all of this but I quickly found out the why of it. The State Attorney had no empathy at all for my son. Because of my son’s high blood alcohol content, the injury to the police Sergeant and the severe injury to my son’s girlfriend they refused to offer anything less than nearly 6 years in prison, and this is when the fight started in court. Mike and his partner started filing motions and set our experts loose to challenge the State’s evidence, and then I finally understood that our experts - the team that had Mike created - were really important to the motions that Mike was filing. Because of Mike’s strategy and his relentless efforts, after 8 grueling months my son was able to avoid a trial and a possible 7 year prison sentence by agreeing to serve 364 days in jail. Mike’s efforts got the State to make this offer, and now that it’s all said and done I honestly believe that Mike Haber saved my son’s life. I don’t wish it upon anyone but if at some future time you have one of Twain’s “bullet in the heart” life experiences that leaves you in a legal conundrum then let me pass on the recommendation that worked so well for my family: Call Mike Haber. (I should also mention that Mike always - ALWAYS - responded to our calls, texts, emails, etc., even when he was out of the country on vacation with his family.)

Dear Michael, Yours, (#HaberPA's 170th Client Review) is the most well-written, comprehensive and flattering client review that I recall receiving, so much so that I really have nothing to add (which, if you look at my historical comments is, I think, a first). I hate to see a client serve time but, as you pointed out, the evidence in this case was simply overwhelming, and, in the end, I too believe that we (yes, you and your wife helped me greatly) might well have saved your son's life. Your boy is fortunate to be alive, he is very lucky that his girlfriend is alive and also that the Sergeant was not also seriously injured. There is life after jail, we have given him the tools that he needs to carry on and now I only hope that he has the strength of character that his father has to be able to maintain his sobriety. You guys are no longer clients but you are now #HaberPA family. Thank you again and, for what it's worth, I am certain that Twain would be proud. All the best, MAH/Esq
