Ms. Bernard was perfect. In handling my case. She & her team communicated with me throughout, keeping up to date with every move. What I liked was how any time I sent an email or call not only did the paralegal respond immediately Ms. Bernard always followed up to make sure I was satisfied and under...stood what was going on. The day of my appearance (family court) it was clear she had relationships as soon as she arrived we were in and out with more than satisfying results. I hired Michele in March due to numerous documented instances of contempt from the custodial parent. Her reviews were excellent and her great sales skills sold me immediately. My bank denied her 1st payment so I had to physically come in and hand her money and told her to continue with the contracte...d agreement with the bank information provided, as I spoke with my bank and authorized Holistic Legal (her firm) to take payments. Never again was a withdraw requested from Michele to my bank so I had to physically go in to pay when I had time to drive 30 miles on I4. Aside from the financial mess, after she received my first payment that week, she passed my case along to a different attorney, Mark McMillan. The contempt motions were filed months after I requested, the counterpetition was "lost" and had to be redone, albeit grossly different from my original proposed plan. My submitted evidence for contempt, 34 instances, had to be submitted a total of 4 times because my new attorney kept losing them and/or Michele never passed them along, the list goes on and on. I reveived several emails from my new attorney, Mark, requesting documents and asking questions that were mind-boggling, I found out over the phone that my case was mistaken with another case! For two months! This is why nothing was being done. Now, I have an unrelated charge that is being dismissed and has nothing to do with my daughter, she literally scolded me and told me to "own up to my actions" on a case I am not guilty of. How's that for representation? She will complain that the case was mishandled over delayed payments, but I was expected to hand over my paychecks to someone who seriously jeopardized my case. It took two months for them to realize their own mistakes and admit to them and that is exactly how long I did not pay them. I had to find another attorney, put down the 3500 fee to avoid this silly circus, and he has glowing reviews as well. However, he works for himself and there is no chance of my case being passed down. Michele has too many cases to handle. If you hire her, you may be surprised to find yourself with a different attorney 2 weeks in. It's in the contract. She can and will do it.
