I would not recommend Michele Bernard based on my experience while she represented me at O'Mara Law Group. I retained her for an urgent family-law matter and personally supplied extensive documentation and prepared the substance of a proposed settlement communication. My hearings were continued, t...he proposal was declined, and my underlying emergency legal concerns remained unresolved. Following her departure from O'Mara Law Group, I requested a meeting and a clear explanation of the proposed legal strategy, team and fees before deciding whether to continue with her at her new firm. Instead of addressing those questions, she sent me a separate email thanking me for electing to stay with her. I had not agreed to do so or signed a new retainer. I was dissatisfied with the communication and the handling of this transition during an urgent legal matter. I decided not to retain her at her new firm.

Me and my wife are beyond happy with Michele. she has been our lawyer through a very rough restraint order getting that dropped and then helping me get integrated with my son who I have not seen in a while becuase the childs mother would not let me. she is always there for us and cheerful making the ...most difficult of times not so hard even when I di not think things were going to work out. Another thing is that when i am super stressed out she always spends some time connecting with me to cheer me up get me out of losing hope and giving me courage to get my life back on track and she makes me laugh so I know there is light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. It is importnat to me that she sees me as a person and give me real advice that I can take away and I have improved my situation so much I now have a 50/50 custody I am so thankful I cannot recommend her enough. court is hard enough and going through all of that I knew she was on my side.

I am truly grateful for all of the help that Michele gave me during my very exhausting and complicated case that many times I lost hope and wondered if it would ever work out but no matter what happened in the past Michele was able to clear it up and bring the truth into what was really going on and ...she helped me to get back on track with a bunch of stuff that was leaving me in a bad spot prior to my getting her on the case I wish I had her from day one but hey it all worked out even better than I thought it would but most important she gave me confidence and helped explain things that made me realize that I was under a lot of past abuse and trauma and just unable to function for a long time and I was able to get back to work and back on track and get custody of my kids back after so long after I thought I would never be able to and now my family is back with me and I can't be more thankful

Michele Bernard has lied and set false expectations of getting my support adjusted . After the hearing she didn’t bother to follow up with me not even after that meeting . She took my money and ran off offering no assistance that she told me she could help with . She coerced me into paying for her se...rvices making it seem as if it was do or die and have not came through with anything and I’m still stuck at square 1 with no true guidance, a jacked up fee in support and no custody order and parental planning in place …… ROBBERY !!!!!!

wow where to being I hired Michele Bernard to take over from my prior lawyer because I needed someone I could really talk to and trust that they cared for my case and my kids this was the best thing that I did for myself because it was night and day. Ms. Bernard went through everything with me one st...ep at a time and made sure I understood everything and most important she believed in me and encourage me to get my life together and go back to school. My case was set for trial and she was able to take over and get things sorted out and we were able to settle on everything which saved me grief and stress I thought that miracle would never happen for me but it did and with the way Ms. Bernard handled everything so smoothly and now my ex is actually treating me better and we can finally talk and coparent like a normal family even though we are divorced. I can not say enough positive things but I am thankful I chose her.
