The most decent honorable attorney I've ever met

Mr. Ortiz Law Firm treat me with dignity and kindness. I was appealing my decision from the Social Security disability I sought out an attorney to have it done. He was able to get me approved for the medical part within just a couple of months. Now I'm waiting for the physical part which shouldn't be... too much longer. I was amazed at how fast he was able to get it done. I thought it would be a year better and yet it only took 2 months. When I went to him I had all my medical files and he, after reviewing a letter that my psychologist wrote told me that most likely he could get it approved on the first appeal. He did just that. He returned my calls almost immediately and let me know what was going on. Thank you to the Ortiz Law Firm.

Looking for a disability attorney? Well look no further! But, if you do choose someone else I GUARANTEE you will switch to them!

I truly value my relationship with the Ortiz Law Firm. I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Ortiz, Alicia, and Dawn and how wonderful they are. There are no words to describe how amazing the knowledgeable their team is. Their professionalism is top notch! Your firm knew exactly what the Social... Security Administration needed along with the answers and correct information. They stepped in right away and not only assured me but, made me feel comfortable. Very personable, I did not feel like I was out of place or feel like I was beneath them and most importantly they not only did they make me feel important they showed it through their actions. They made me feel at peace when I was in one of the most stressful periods of my life. The very first time I stepped into the Ortiz Law Firm to inquire about him taking my case, he dropped everything he was doing just to speak with me. Mr. Ortiz explained everything in terms I could understand, he gave me options, where, I thought I had none, and just made the whole experience as non terrifying as possible. The entire team makes you feel confident that everything will happen in the very best interest of you in your case. He was not only well prepared and informed the day of my hearing, we met numerous times weeks prior going over everything regarding my case. Even after one of the meetings I did not show up for because I was not only afraid but, my anxiety was through the roof Mr. Ortiz stayed after hours to meet with me. Mr. Ortiz was a great help in reducing my extremely high anxiety level down not only before my hearing but, also during and after it was over. The entire team is extremely easy to communicate with and very accessible. Alicia or Dawn always answered the phone when I called. When I left messages after hours, weekends, or on holidays they return all calls to me promptly first thing in the morning when they returned to the office. Even on numerous occasions when I never returned paperwork sent to me by their office or their phone calls, they stood by my side no matter what never once gave up on me. They were extremely pleasant and professional each time I talked to them and explained in great detail what was going on with my case. Their work is detail orientated and rock solid. It was very nice to have somebody explain what to expect and what needed to be done. Everything was made so simple and straightforward. They explained step-by-step what was going on and answered any questions I had immediately. They also helped me with any of the paperwork I didn't understand. Their excellence is unparalleled. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me. You were so gracious, kind, and understanding. I know the reason my case was one was because of all your hard work. Mr. Ortiz, Alicia, and Dawn are amazing people. I just wanted you to know how extremely grateful I am for the three of you and how much I really appreciate all of your hard work and help. I would want the Ortiz Law Firm on my side any day! If you are in need of an attorney, you cannot and I stress cannot find better people than right here. Great job! Plain and simple.

Attorney Ortiz

I'm lucky enough to have Mr. Ortiz represent me in my SSDI case. I couldn't do it by myself in my current health condition. I am going to take and write a deserving great review for a hard working Attorney ...and staff! Not many people attend to the fact Nick is a Yale Graduate...and being a former "...Yale" employee when Nick was going through his Undergraduate program, I can attest first hand that Yale is unbelievably "picky" who they let in! So...that being said I feel it's important to have also have a "smart" Attorney if he's out front arguing on my behalf. Attorney Ortiz's staff is also very hard working and pleasant to work with. So thankful for Mr. Ortiz and his staff!

I really believe the only reason I won my Social Security case was because I switched attorneys and hired Mr. Ortiz. When I first decided to hire a lawyer, I made the mistake of going with a large local firm, where I feel like I was given the bare minimum needed to profit from my case with the least... effort possible. I had no idea how my case was being approached to ensure that I would win my appeal; it seemed like there was no specific argument and that all my attorney was doing was refiling - something I could do on my own. I knew that my case was very difficult to prove given the nature of my disability, so I decided to do my own research online regarding SSD cases for people with mental illnesses. I was able to get an entire book (for free!) advising me on the subject, along with multiple articles on legal sites. Reading these sources made me feel like I needed an attorney who specialized in cases involving my disability; a simple Google search brought up Mr. Ortiz, who had stellar ratings and reviews everywhere I looked. On top of that, I realized that he was the author of the book and articles I had read on mental illness SSD cases! I called his office and was able to see him right away. During my (lengthy, as I was quite distraught about the state of my case) consultation, Mr. Ortiz did not rush me at all; he listened to all of my concerns, answered all of my questions, explained how he would approach my case specifically, and made me feel validated as a client. From then on, as Mr. Ortiz's client, I regularly corresponded with him and with Ms. Alicia in his office (she is very kind and patient) regarding the smallest of my concerns. They never made me feel like I was asking stupid questions or like I was bothering them, and all of my questions were answered immediately. I got regular updates regarding my case, and I always knew what to expect due to monthly letters from the firm. I am so thankful for Ms. Alicia and Mr. Ortiz, who not only helped me win my claim, but also allayed my fears more times than I can count throughout this stressful process. Bottom line: if you're appealing your Social Security Disability claim, you need an attorney - and if you want to win that claim and be treated like more than a quick dollar, you need to call the Ortiz firm.

Nick Ortiz is the best ever!

This Thanksgiving I will be giving thanks to Nick Ortiz and Alicia. Mr. Ortiz is hands down the best attorney in his field. Before becoming completely disabled, I worked for an attorney for over 20 years. One of my main skills was research, and I have always been a perfectionist. Thus, when I bec...ame disabled, I looked for the best disability attorney. Mr. Ortiz definitely fit the bill. I contacted almost every disability attorney in the Pensacola and Mobile area. Not a single one of the offices I contacted would even set an appointment until after I had filed for disability on my own and received the letter of rejection. Mr. Ortiz was the only one who not only met with me, but filed the initial claim for me as well. He even answered the phone when I called for the first time. Some of the other offices I contacted before Mr. Ortiz also said that they would not meet with me until I turned 50 years old, with the reason being that it was much more difficult to obtain a favorable Social Security ruling for anyone under 50 years old with my medical problems. To illustrate what a great attorney Mr. Ortiz is, one needs only to look at my case and results he achieved. I was 46 when the initial claim was filed. He not only obtained a favorable Social Security disability ruling for me, but he won without the need for a hearing! This was especially helpful because I will sometimes go up to a week with hardly being able to get out of bed, and my brain hardly works at all now. He has a simple, but genius way of getting the medical information required to win your case. It is detailed in his free book "Top Ten Mistakes That Will Destroy Your Social Security Claim". His advice was always spot on. I didn't follow it at first, and regret not doing so. When I initially saw him, I kept hoping that my doctors could find a way to make me well so that I could return to work. So I put off filing for several months, waiting to see different specialists. I only got worse as time progressed. I have very limited time when I can think clearly, and so I have waited until those brief moments to write this review. It was very important to me to give the best review possible, since Mr. Ortiz and Alicia provided me with the absolute best representation. I can never say thank you enough to them. My husband and I finally have some peace of mind knowing that we can now afford my medical care (we have gone through our savings and the ruling came at the perfect time). One more thing: I take reviews very seriously and rely on them myself. It makes me sick when a buy a product on Amazon, and the company who produces/sold the product offers a bribe to write a good review. I can promise you that this review is truthful and heartfelt. To sum up, if you are looking for a disability attorney, Nick Ortiz is your man.
