Biography
A native of Northwest Florida, Michael received a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Real Estate from Florida State University, and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Before returning to Florida, he practiced law in Washington, D.C., in the areas of real estate and bankruptcy.
He has held a Florida Building Contractor's certificate since 1984, and lectures in the areas of construction law for courses sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation and the Florida Association of Home Builders. Memberships include the International Code Council, the Florida Bar Real Property Section and Construction Law Committee, the National Association of Home Builders, and the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa-Walton Counties, Inc.
