I hired this attorney. Ever heard of an attorney that "forgot" to tell their client they were officially divorced after a 2 year long divorce/custody battle? Well now you have, and I hope you heed my warning.. Do not hire Autumn as her people are incompetent, lack efficient communication skills, cons...istently drop the ball with important action items, and they will attempt to squeeze every dime out of their interactions with you. Autumn will send rude responses to emails about concerns with how your case is being handled, and then charge you for those interactions. Stay away from this firm if you don't want to waste energy fighting your attorney in addition to your ex spouse

Autumn Beck was quick to accept my 5500. retainer for my child custody battle but also quick to dismissal my concerns. The whole experience was terrible. I was emailed someone else’s paperwork for a divorce decree and when I asked if my personal information was sent out to other people, Autumn change...d the subject never answering my question. I was told on may occasions I would receive a call or email, but never received a call or email. When I would question this I would either be lied to or excuses would be made about it and then no resolution. I was made to collect arrest reports for the Respondent and other documents, but was still charged fees for the collection of the documents. I was emailed documents multiple times and was charged a fee every time they were emailed even though I did not request the paperwork. I was asked to have documentation notarized multiple times and when I asked where the first set went I was told I didn’t sign or have the paperwork notarized even though I kept a journal documenting all papers signed and notarized and was given a copy to prove the paperwork was completed. I was asked to come into the office,I scheduled the time off work and after waiting in office for 20 mins. I was advised the assistant that set the appointment was not coming into the office. What a waist of my time! Once the case was complete and documents were signed. I was mailed my documentation along with Robert Daniel Lawrence, Jr. dissolution of marriage from Tiffany Taylor Lawrence that has all of their personal information attached. Including Quit Claim Deed. I would never recommend this lawyer. Her employees don’t pay attention and she allows this craziness. I never received an apology for any complaint I made just excuses. #autumbeckblackledge

I wish I had paid attention to the poor reviews Autumn had received, my experience matched their descriptions perfectly. Autumn never paid attention to my case. When I called to speak with her, I was told by her staff that Autumn was too busy with her personal life to handle my case but that she coul...d maybe speak with me in a few week’s time. I found out later that I was billed for all of those calls. No value-added to my case, just a waste of my time on the phone trying to contact the lawyer I’d paid a very expensive retainer to. She and her staff did very little work in my case, but some how managed to use up the entire retainer and billed for even more. I’d had direct contact with Autumn maybe 3 or 4 times. I was left speaking to an incompetent aid who usually said that she did not have the answers to my questions, I’d have to speak with Autumn, but oh, sorry, Autumn was not available for two more weeks. Of course I paid for all of these calls. I was even billed for emails I sent and the replies they sent back did not answer the questions I’d asked. I was misinformed on several occasions about proceedings, they missed filing deadlines and were caught off-guard and unprepared. Highly unprofessional and money-hungry. I ended up changing counsel when I realised that the only progress they knew how to make in my case was sending invoices.

I hired Autumn to help me through my divorce. I found her on AVVO and thought that she sounded too good to be true. She felt that my case would not be difficult as there was abuse involved, lots of evidence, and everything would work out in my favor. It wasn't long before there was a disaster. Autum...n was very condescending to me the few times that I got to speak with her once things went south. I had to move out of my house, as my husband would not move out, and the abuse to both me and my children was getting worse and worse. She wrote in an email to me that she would have my husband out of my house within 3 weeks. Later she denied sending me the email and a mediation date was set for 4 months later. I asked where my kids and I supposed to stay for 4 months and was told that 4 months wasn't that long of a time period. I contacted an attorney friend of mine, who recommended another divorce attorney. That is where I am now, and I feel like progress is being made. I had given Autumn a large retainer and Autumn managed to bill me for all but a few dollars of the retainer after only attending the initial hearing and setting up mediation. I felt like she billed me for anything she could think of just to keep the retainer money. I think that Autumn would be fine for an uncomplicated divorce but she wasn't skilled enough to handle mine.
