Thomas Leroy Duggar

As a partner with Duggar & Duggar, P.A., Thomas practices exclusively in Marital and Family Law. Thomas is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator.

Serving on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Family Law Section, Thomas held various committee leadership positions. He has received multiple commendations for his service to the Family Law Section, including the Chair’s Award for Outstanding Merit. He has been extensively involved in revisions to the Florida Statutes, as related to alimony, parenting, and child support, and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Thomas serves as a lecturer on family law and estate planning topics at the Florida State University College of Law, at continuing legal education seminars in the Second Judicial Circuit, at the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar’s Trial Advocacy Clinic, at the statewide Board Certification Review Course, and at the Florida American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Annual Institute.

Thomas graduated from Guilford College with a bachelor’s degree in history and taught special education in New Orleans for three years with Teach for America. While teaching full-time, Thomas obtained his master’s degree in special education from the University of New Orleans. Thomas returned to Tallahassee and received his Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law.

Thomas and his wife, Dr. Staci Walton Duggar, are natives of Tallahassee and parents of four children. The Duggar family is actively involved at St. Peter’s Anglican Church.
