Biography
I have retired from the practice of law, but will consult on cases involving firearms, weapons, and self defense issues, and continue to present larger seminars on these issues on a fee paid basis. I continue to write in the field, including a monthly legal column for the Florida Association of State Troopers, and my book: "Florida Firearms -- Law, Use & Ownership", now in its 8th edition, with over 200,000 copies sold, and a Kindle version on self defense, only.

Jon came through when another lawyer didn't!
A few years ago I learned that a misdemeanor conviction that occurred over thirty years ago had mistakenly been entered into the records as a felony. I hired a lawyer who told me that too much time had passed and my only option would be to petition the governor for clemency for my "felony" conviction...
