For context, my background is digital healthcare. I was being strong armed by an employer to sign a separation agreement within 48 hours of a termination in order to receive a severance package. That being said, I was only at this corporate role for 3 weeks, and certain issues didn't add up of why th...ey were letting me go. Google search after Google search just kept getting me law firms that treated me as a sales lead. The kind of places that "Can't give consults without taking all of my info so that a paralegal's assistant could call me back", or "Don't do free consults" and still want your call back info, I lucked out and found James McCabe. Not only was he and his team super responsive and attentive, they vetted me for HOURS ahead of taking my case, which I did appreciate, because that showed that I wasn't just a "sales lead", and that if they get some cash; great, and if not, oh well. They are not those guys. They made it very clear after a few phone calls that not only did we have a case, but we would win it. They were also very clear and upfront on timelines and ensuring/making sure that I didn't have false pretenses of when/how/etc, this would be resolved. Some may not like this, but you can only move as fast as the opposing party and the law will permit. Jim and his team could've reached a settlement for a much larger amount (though the amount settled was by no means small) if the my timeline permitted, but I simply had personal/work obligations that wouldn't allow it. We did settle/win, and very quickly. If you want a legitimate law-firm that will never put an infomercial on day time television, or have their staff do the work so that they never have to speak with you, I'd go with The McCabe Law Firm all day.
