If you are looking for a family Attorney that will have empathy and compassion for your specific family case I would not recommend Attorney Hackett. Unfortunately I only spoke with Attorney Hackett one time for 5 minutes. I have never met her, nor explained my legal needs or expectations to her. ...Whenever I did reach out I got an email that she was busy ( read old complaints from 2010-2013 still true to this day). I mainly conversed with Kevin which he wasn’t helpful because he is not allowed to provide legal advice. I anticipated paying under $2,000 for my specific needs and I ended up paying over $4,000 dollars, I was asked to sign another retainer after those two documents were completed,. Kevin helped me complete my Discovery and interrogators ( which they said I have to do in their office ). I was presented with a contempt order for the other party but i found out after a month that it wasn’t filed through the court therefore my contempt was useless. When I went to the court hearing I also found out from the judge that I was supposed to sue the plaintiff not write a contempt order. Attorney Carrie Hackett’s lack of legal advice or knowledge in my case caused my family and myself a lot of emotional distress and we are still suffering to this day trying to recover. I could name a lot more discrepancies but I hope this gets my point across. If you do choose to use this firm ask a lot of questions and make sure you know what you want and need for your case.

I retained Ms. Hackett after a few negative lawyer experiences. I had a custody case with severe parental alienation with a lot of evidence. After Covid delayed my case, I decided to make a change and brought Carrie in 2 years into a 3 year case. She worked well with the court appointed Guardian ...ad Litem, helped organize the case for trial, and pushed it to a positive resolution. We were able to prove severe alienation, won custody, and were awarded attorney fees. My ex-wife hired an attorney to employ some bullying tactics, but Ms. Hackett schooled her on family law. Carrie is always calm, yet has a great courtroom presence. It's hard for a father to win custody, but we were able to prove the case beyond any doubt, and the court's ruling was overwhelmingly in our favor. Court battles can be trying, but I wouldn't have wanted to go through this with anyone else in my corner.

I found Carrie through AVVO and after interviewing several divorce attorneys, I finally went with Carrie because I felt she listened to what I had to say and to my intentions to keep things as fair and amicable as possible. She was always available via email and was always organized. Her experience s...howed through time and time again with knowing the law, our options, and the best course of action. Carrie was also cost-sensitive, and I felt I was billed very fairly for all time involved. I would not hesitate to recommend Carrie to someone else facing divorce.

Carrie represented me with a case that had been going on almost a year before a settlement was agreed upon. She is very smart, knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. Carrie worked continuously on my case through the weekend prior to my hearing and communicated with me on every part of the case an...d documents needed. What attorney do you know would work on a Sunday for their client. Her assistant Laura is the best also and very professional. If I was not able to speak with Carrie, Laura acted on her behalf and communicated by email or phone in a timely manner. The retainer fee is very reasonable and they will work with you if you are not able to provide the fees all at once. She's so understanding and very comfortable to talk to. Her partner Ashley is an awesome attorney as well. I WOULD RECOMMEND this Law Firm to any and everyone who's looking for an awesome Family Law Attorney.
