I filed for a divorce and my controlling, Narcissist spouse went crazy. I had a very nasty and difficult divorce. My ex accused me of everything and anything she could of, she tried to destroy me. I started out by hiring an attorney that took my money and never filed for my divorce, so I had to file myself and represent myself in the beginning. I called around looking... for help from several attorneys and one attorney I spoke with asked me if I had $5,000.00 to start with, I told him that I had paid one attorney already and that he took my money and did not do anything for me and that I was financially hurting. He then replied, “What are you calling me for then?” and hung up the phone. I was down and very emotional. I was then referred to Carrie and I explained to her my situation and she gave me a free consultation and worked with me on a payment plan that I could afford. During my divorce, things were very difficult and emotional, but Carrie and Ashley were there every step of the way to help me deal with things, whether it was giving me great legal advice, returning all of my e-mails and phone calls, showing up to every status hearing, and even helping me save my home. At trial, both Carrie and Ashley showed up to represent me. To say that they did an amazing job is an understatement. Even though they were able to discredit everything that I was accused of, prove that my ex was a bitter vindictive person, and prove that I am the sole care taker of my children and I had the best interest for the children, the judge still gave my ex custody because it seems that all you have to do is lie, cry, be spiteful and this judge will reward it in every way. Carrie’s and Ashley’s knowledge of the law and how they handled themselves in a court room is one of the best I have ever seen. They will fight and protect your best interest, they will treat you with dignity and respect, but most of all, they will fight for your children’s best interest. Bottom line, they put their hearts in to my case and they care about family! There are no words that I can express my gratitude for their representation. A recent child custody & visitation case led me to needing a lawyer for the 1st time. Carrie Hackett was the 3rd lawyer I met with before selecting an attorney to represent me. Big mistake! Out of the 3 lawyers I met with, she was the only one who expected me to make a decision at that time and pa...y for the services up front. That should have been a red flag. She quickly swindled $1250 from me upon meeting with her. At first, I was impressed by her. However, that would be the last time I would actually speak with her. In a 2 month time span, I contacted her office more than 10 times and she NEVER returned a single phone call. I had 2 court dates, both which were continued; thank God b/c she didn't even show up to court. Her paralegal informed of the 2 court dates only 2 days before the date. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Bar Association. Save your money. She will not keep you informed or return any of your phone calls.

I was looking for a good lawyer to represent me in court for violation of probabition, and some one told me about hackett. I believe that she was going to be a good lawyer for my case but, on my first court date Carrie hackett did not come instead Ashley Wine did. Ashley did not fight for my case lik...e she need to, so the judge put me in jail for about 3 months because of this. I did not get out of jail because of her, On my next court date Carrie Hackett came to my court date and she said everything she needed to say to defend me, she rufuse 3 times to not answer the judge questions and made the judge mad, so he put me in jail again for a month. I was very upset that these people who call themselves lawyer would do this, you should already know what to say,but she didnt and she's the reason i had to go to jail twice. This was a very painful and stressful situation for me and my family. I feel like hackett wine are not good lawyers at all it's only about the money. please don't let this be you.
