Could have been better

I hired Mr Culik 2 years ago to get my loan modified. I was (and still am) in dire need of a modification on my high interest loan. We were living paycheck to paycheck but after reading the reviews I thought he may be able to help. I explained to him that it would be hard to pay his fee but he wor...ked out a payment plan which was helpful. He explained to me that going through with his method was not 100% and I appreciated it. However, probably due to having to go on a payment plan in order to afford him, he didn't respond to emails very frequently. A full year went by with no resolve. Mr Culik is a very knowledgeable lawyer and knows his stuff but if you are not filing for bankruptcy or under foreclosure I wouldn’t recommend him. Maybe I caught him at a bad time but unfortunately he was unable to help me.

I really appreciate this individual taking the time to connect with us by submitting a review. We consider any review of the work we do important since we constantly seek to improve the quality of work we offer clients. I have carefully reviewed our client records and cannot find anything that correlates to the events described in this review. I would, however, warmly welcome this individual to contact me directly so I can better understand and address their frustrations. In the meantime, I will explain a little about how the modification process and our firm operates. We definitely understand the frustration with how long the legal process can take. In cases of loan modifications, we are often required to “hurry up and wait,” that is, to provide information and make demands on the bank, and then wait for a period of time that is mandated under the loan-modification guidelines or other applicable laws. Because of this, from the client’s perspective, it may feel like there is very little happening. This is natural -- after all, when it’s your house, any amount of time can feel like an eternity. We make every effort during this period to keep the client updated and I have very qualified associate attorneys who work with me to continually push cases forward and ensure that clients are connected to the process and get very timely responses to any question or concern. Even with an attorney involved, the companies we go up against sometimes cause delays or fail to resolve issues in a timely manner. This, after all, is what they’re good at. But even if the issue can’t always be resolved immediately, going up against those companies is what we’re good at, and why we’re here. Other times, a change in the client’s circumstances, such as a change in income, may make it necessary to take additional steps in the process. It sounds as if one of these issues may have arisen in this particular case. Legal outcomes can be predicted, but they can’t be guaranteed. We try to make this clear from the start so that clients’ expectations are both optimistic and realistic. Rather than making impossible claims about what we can do, we try to keep expectations reasonable -- not all cases end the same because of the number of loan modification programs and variations in guidelines between them. We can guarantee, however, that we have the expertise to make sure our clients get the best chance possible to save their homes. We do try to be flexible by offering payment plans and other accommodations so that the client can afford legal representations. This makes it so that clients can afford to hire us, and so that we can afford to perform the work we do for our clients. But just as with a doctor, accountant, or other professional engaged to perform a service, our capacity to perform legal services depends in part on the client’s participation in the representation including timely responses, document submission, and payment. Our record shows that we have worked extremely hard to push the banks to do what we believe is right, which is to protect consumers and keep homeowners in their homes whenever possible. Sometimes we do this with a lawsuit against the banks, sometimes with a bankruptcy, and sometimes with a loan modification. We have stopped foreclosures on the eve of the sale with restraining orders and injunctions, eliminated debts in bankruptcies, gone after abusive banks and debt collectors, and even rescinded foreclosure sales for clients who contacted us after a foreclosure already took place. I hope that this person will take advantage of our commitment to clients by contacting me directly with any concerns so that I can address them to their satisfaction. As you can see from some of the other reviews on here, we work very hard to get our clients the results they want against all odds.

Thank You to Joe Culik and Culik Law! Big help in my case.

As a war veteran I was hoping to work out a loan modification with the bank on my own but found that the bank was not going to work with me. I then decided to take legal action by getting an attorney. After calling a lot of other law offices and not receiving any help I called Culik law to help me ob...tain a loan modification with Bank of America. After talking with Joe and his team at Culik Law I was blown away by their care and professionalism. They were outstanding and very professional. They talked to me about the loan modification process and pledged their help to me which made me feel at ease. Joe and his team immediately went to work on my behalf and fought the bank for my loan modification. Joe kept me informed during the entire process and answered any and all questions I had. He returned every single call and email and made me feel at ease during the whole process. I'm pleased to say that Joe and his team at Culik Law were able to get my loan modified! I highly recommend using Culik law for your loan modification or any other legal matters. I want to thank Joe and his team for fighting the Bank for me and not giving up. Its because of Culik law that I have a modified Home loan and payments I can afford. Thank you Culik Law!!

Excellent Attorney - Made A Real Difference in Our Lives

I am extremely satisfied with the result and service I received from Joe and team. They were straight forward and over delivered on both issues they handled for us - mortgage and debt related issues. The amount of money they saved my family has been absolutely life changing by obtaining a loan modifi...cation with huge savings and settling a long time debt for pennies on the dollar. I actually really wanted to give them a bonus for such a job well done in the end I was so satisfied and when does that ever happen.

A world of thanks to this awesome team

I had tried what must be a record ten times to get a modification only to get a denial each time and to be led in circles by my bank Wells Fargo. I finally decided to find a local attorney to help me and came across Culik Law. I cannot be more infinitely grateful that I did. Just last week I received... word that they had secured a 2% modification with close to $90K in principal forgiveness. I initially met with Attorney Culik but worked throughout the process with Shawna and the rest of this caring and amazing team of people. They have someone there who will get back to you right away and did not give the bank a moment's rest until they finalized my modification. I can move on now with my business and life in peace. I send a million blessing their way and thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Attorney Josef Culik and his associates helped me save my home

After 3years of being mislead by so called loan modification companies, who pretend to work with attorneys, but really don't . I felt I had let my family down, we were going to lose our home, our "american dream". what I've worked so hard my entire adult life for. Everyone who claimed they would help... just kept taking money and asking for the same paper work over and over. More paperwork and money with zero results. In a last ditch effort I was searching on the web, I came across a review like the one I am writting now, it was sincere, heart felt and real. So I said "what the hell"? "why not"? "I' could be losing the house anyway." So I called Culik Law, I spoke with Attorney Culik from the intial telephone interveiw and through out the entire process. Attorney Culik was professional with a sense of compassion and sincerity. He would touch base with me frequently, either by phone or email. Which is quite comforting. You know someone you can trust is on the job, and he has your best interest at hand. My loan was 3years in default and Attorney Josef Culik help me take on the Bank that refused to modify my predetory loan. it was a long unnerving process, Attorney Culik was confidence and hard work paid off. We Won! He Did it Attorney Josef Culik and his associates help me save my home. I now have a new mortgage at a normal market rate, I have been paying my new loan successfully for 10 months. I have said it so many time before , I will say it again THANKS JOSEF! . CULIK lAW THE RIGHT AND ONLY CHOICE!
