I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina and am an active member of the city’s community. Prior to law school, I volunteered at the Natural Science Center, coached youth swimming, and helped build homes with Habitat for Humanity in Greensboro.
Since law school, I have used my education and love of the area to give back as I can, volunteering time with various locally-organized events geared toward helping the community, both with legal issues and through other community service.
In law school at Washington and Lee University School of Law, I was elected to serve on the Executive Committee, which presided over the honor court, among other duties. I participated in many school activities, ranging from intramural football to the Public Interest Law Students Association.
Now, I represent clients in employment matters including hostile work environment, wrongful termination, harassment, and unemployment benefits claims.

Excellent Attorney
Mr. Hensel represented me in an "employment" matter concerning services rendered and not paid for. I still had property of the other person. He worked diligently and kept me informed of progress. While the other party kept using stall tactics, Mr. Hensel took it in stride and kept me on an even ke...

Great experience working with Hensel Law
I had a great experience at Hensel Law. It was easy to make an appointment, not hard to find their office, and the advice they provided me was exactly what I needed as it related to my case. Thank you Craig for awesome service! I will be definitely back again if I need it.

Prompt & helpful
Mr. Hensel advised me on a separation agreement promptly and with practical reasoning. He did not push to make a "case", but was clearly trying to assist me in a tough decision. I will recommend Mr. Hensel if given that opportunity.

Disengagement w/ Out Cause
Hensel Law assigned an attorney, then reassigned after that attorney resigned from the firm. Craig Hensel requested a notebook full of material previously provided, then terminated representation after being questioned about the necessity of redundant material. $100 deposit was provided and the cas...
Unfortunately, this is a blatantly incorrect statement of what caused us to disengage you. We do not fire clients without cause, because that makes absolutely no sense as a business model. Further, as explained several times, the $100 "deposit" was, in fact, a consultation fee. At the time of the consultation, you paid it and engaged us for services, showing you did not have any problems with the consultation you paid for. Best of luck, and I hope you are able to find counsel that will work with you as a client.

Very Professional and Patient
Mr. Hensel handled my case very professionally, he was very patient and he was always willing to answer any questions and explain any part of the process that I did not understand. I would recommend Mr. Hensel to anyone.
"I have worked for Craig for three years and we have seen a lot of clients walk through the door. Craig always knows what to do. He believes in what he does and advocates for his clients with professionalism, vigor, and aplomb."
"I fully endorse Craig as both a friend and colleague. He is one of the most intelligent people I know and he specializes solely in employement law issues. He is top notch and I highly recommend him as I believe him to be the best in his field."
"If any of my clients ever need advice on employment law, I tell them, "I know just the guy." And Craig is that guy. He is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help however he can."

"Craig is a very good, hard-working attorney. He cares about his clients and works hard to get them the best results. Employment law cases are very difficult to win in North Carolina. Despite that, Craig does what it takes to preserve his clients' rights."

"I met Craig at a Wills for Heroes pro bono event. He is a very civic-minded attorney, and I look forward to working with him again soon."
