Joel Stephen Jackson

I was traveling north on I77 in Virginia and was behind a slower vehicle in the right lane got over in the left lane to pass and before I could get pass the vehicle and get back in the right lane to a normal speed I was clocked at 80 in a 65. Got home and checked for lawyer's on the net in Virginia, ...Joel Jackson name came up. I read the reviews and was impressed. Called Mr Jackson office and left a message for him to call me back and he did so within an hour, we discussed my case and I agreed to his fee ( a reasonable one at that) . The only thing I had to do was get him my drivers record for the passed 5 years, he went to court on my behalf and the case was settled with just a Defective Equipment. I was pulled over in Wythe County VA for speeding. Doing 97 in a 70 which is wreckless driving. Officer was nice and wrote it for 90/70 still wreckless driving though, I was going to have to appear in court, and was wreckless driving and 6 points on my license. I researched several lawyers in the ne...arby areas and chose Joel, and I am happy I did! On July 8, 2017, I was pulled over on I-77 for speeding while traveling home to North Carlina from Michigan. I was in Wythe County when it happened. No ticket is issued because it is a misdemeanor offense that requires a court hearing with potential jail time and fines if found guilty. The next day, I did a Google search and found Joel's contact info. I called and spoke to Joel's assistant, Emily. She took some basic information down and later that day, I received a call from Joel himself. And for the record, I called other attorneys in the area that never even returned my call. So there's that. At any rate, Joel helped me understand the charge and provided recommendations on how I should prepare if I chose to defend myself in court. He also went over his services, his flat fee (which I thought was very reasonable), and what documents and proactive actions I should take to improve my outlook. As a huge plus, Joe was my representative at court during my hearing date. That meant I was not required to attend personally, saving me 3.5 hours of travel time one way, and a lost day of personal time off from work. Throughout the process, I received numerous updates and reminders from Emily. This was very reassuring as knew I would not be in court during my hearing date. I am happy to report that Joel was able to exceed my expectations. Not only was my offense reduced to a non-misdemeanor charge with no demerits or points on my license, I also ended up receiving a fine far lower than what I was expecting. Considering the peace of mind of retaining a clean driving record and no insurance rate spikes, I simply would not hesitate to recommend Joel enough if you ever encounter a situation similar to mine. He'll literally walk you through everything you need to do to achieve the best possible result.

Driving home from visiting my grand babies, I got pulled over for speeding. I'm from out of state, and needed an attorney to represent me and hopefully help keep me from getting points against my license. Joel communicated promptly, kept me in the loop through out the whole thing and even got my case... dismissed! I highly recommend him.

We hired Joe Jackson to handle a speeding ticket for us. We live in NC and got a speeding ticket in VA. He was courteous and professional and answered all of our questions.
