Kublan Khan PLC represented me in my nasty and contentious separation and divorce battle my ex wife brought forth.  Using our only daughter as a leverage, she nearly made me homeless and denied access to my daughter.  I went to a couple of law firms for paid consultation but I did not feel the connec...tion that I could trust them with my life. Andrei had a calming face and voice that I sometimes needed to see and hear to remain hopeful. He was smart, relatable, efficient, tough, protective, compassionate and fair.  He coached me on how to respond to the vile email and text messages of my ex wife without falling prey into her instigations.  He always addressed every question and concerns I had no matter how grave or trivial they were.  And it was just not him, I had worked with his associate attorney Minji Kim and paralegal Alexandra.  They were amazing, caring and honest individuals who made sure that I stay the course and don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.  Their combined expertise of writing and analyzing facts, attention to details and their deft ability in finding the smoking gun brought me back from the dead.  The office staff was top-notch; they were very courteous and I never had any issue with inaccuracy, missing documents or not getting proper copies.  Andrei had matched pound for pound with my ex wife’s high-priced big law firm who dragged on the separation for seven months.  My ex wife and her attorney thought they had a slam dunk case until they ran into Andrei for emphatic block; he never wavered, did not cave in; made sure my equal custody of my daughter was non-negotiable; and at the end we prevailed. During the crunch time, he tirelessly worked into the wee hours of the night through countless revisions of the separation agreement to protect my best interests.  I thank God that he made me find Andrei during the most difficult, challenging and vulnerable time of my life. 

Mr. Kublan has earned my absolute highest rating for the OUTSTANDING job he did on my divorce and criminal trials. I found Mr. K here on Avvo and I can’t tell you how happy I am as a result. After telling my immigrant wife of 14 months I wanted a divorce, she had me arrested for an unwanted touch ...(which is assault and battery in the State of Virginia). I was innocent but my first lawyers were so inept that I was not found guilty, but there was sufficient evidence for a finding of guilt. I was flabbergasted that the female Fairfax County JDR Judge refused to consider my wife’s motives! Initially I accepted the first offender’s deal but after a few months, I couldn’t take the mental anguish of being a convict and fired my lawyers and hired Mr. K to appeal my case. While waiting for the appeal trial, Mr. K conducted a deposition of my wife where he asked extremely insightful questions. Mr. K was able to gain enough information to prove her lies and destroy her credibility. As a prime example of this, in my first trial, my wife testified that I raped her on the night I allegedly assaulted and battered her. My lawyers at the time did not ask her one single question about this accusation! During my appeal trial, Mr. K presented call detail records which showed that my wife was talking on an 81 minute call to a friend when I was allegedly raping her. He asked so many questions about the timing of the rape that my wife finally changed her story and admitted in court, in front of the jury, that there was no sexual contact that evening! This was nothing less than OUTSTANDING performance on the part of Mr. K!!! It took the jury 15 minutes to unanimously find me NOT GUILTY in December 2016. I had to find my wife so I could serve her with divorce papers, band Mr. K recommended the Professional Legal Resource Group in Fairfax. Within a week, they had found my wife, and also obtained evidence of Adultery! Mr. K then filed a Complaint on the grounds of Adultery and tried to use that as leverage for her to agree to an immediate no fault divorce. Again she declined. Mr. K then filed a massive Discovery request and focused on the items my wife was deficient on. My wife ended up going through 4 lawyers in attempting to respond to Mr. K’s Discovery and subsequent motions. Mr. K was awarded Court Orders for my wife to pay me $1,500 in lawyer fees with more payments possible. Mr. K also filed a Complaint for an Annulment which survived a Demurer. Again, in October I offered to drop both Complaints and file for a no-fault divorce. But once again my wife declined. (Clearly my wife isn’t very smart). At the divorce hearing in July 2017, Mr. K used his extensive experience and knowledge to get the PLRG reports admitted as evidence (there were 4 reports covering 1 year of surveillance). The opposing council did her best to get the reports rejected but Mr. K prevailed. In addition, Mr. K’s questions were so good, and the resulting PLRG response was so good, that we knew we would win Adultery. The opposing counsel thought so too, and consequently, Mr. K proposed a deal where I dropped the Annulment and my wife accepted the Adultery grounds! In addition, I have no spousal support payments, no payments in arrears (I stopped payments 6 months before the trial when I lost my job), no health insurance, retirement, or social security benefits sharing, and in fact, no past or future financial obligations of any kind!!! What an incredible lawyer Mr. Kublan is! I cannot describe how elated I am with Mr. K’s brilliant performance both inside and outside the courtroom. It was his expert knowledge of the right questions to ask, when to ask them, and how to use the legal processes and procedures available to him in order to achieve the desired results. I would also like to say that Mr. Kublan’s staff is simply wonderful! Alexandra was courteous, smart, efficient and professional and Cristina handled the finances and invoicing efficiently and politely.

I hired Andrei for divorce and child custody case and was pleased with how he handled the case.
