Professional, Compassionate, and All Around Excellent Lawyer

I've been lucky to have Mrs. Hayba for both my child custody and equitable distribution trials. She's been nothing short of diligent, organized, meticulous, compassionate, and most importantly, trustworthy. There were many times that things had been more than a bit stressful and just as many times as she'd provided invaluable advice and wisdom that helped ease the process for me. Whenever I had questions or couldn't understand a topic or the purpose of any legality, she was more than understanding and would break it down into understandable chunks. She'd kept detailed records of the many situations at hand and I can't thank her enough as it proved my case, she'd helped me win as well. I can't thank her enough for it all.

Practical, Knowledgeable, and Helpful

I retained Jenna for help with a contentious separation and divorce that lasted over 3 years. Early on, she helped me understand my rights as a parent, which was instrumental to establishing a good custody schedule and a way to share expenses during separation. Off-and-on, I spent about 2 years trying to reach a mediated settlement through a third party. I used Jenna for advice and to review the draft settlement documents during this process. Mediation failed, but by that time, I had established a reliable schedule and knew a lot about our marital assets. At this point, I retained Jenna for litigation, and we continued to pursue a settlement based on the mediated solution. We spent a few months preparing for litigation, including discovery and scheduling trial dates. In the end, Jenna helped me reach a settlement by using the McCammon Group for arbitration. Jenna gave me practical, direct advice that helped me understand and navigate my divorce. She was always knowledgeable and to-the-point. I think she did a good job helping me protect my interests and reach a reasonable settlement, despite facing a challenging situation.

Ms. Hayba joined the firm of Curran Moher Weis in 2017 after practicing domestic relations law at another Fairfax, Virginia firm. Ms. Hayba focuses her practice solely on domestic relations matters involving divorce, custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, and other related issues. Ms. Hayba provides her clients with both dedicated and compassionate legal representation, focusing on her client’s short-term and long-term goals.

In 2018, Ms. Hayba was trained as a collaborative law practitioner and is a member of the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia (CPNV), Virginia Collaborative Professionals (VaCP) and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP). Ms. Hayba believes that all clients should be informed of and have access to a variety of pathways towards resolution when faced with one of the most challenging times of their life. Ms. Hayba is a native of New York and received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University. Ms. Hayba went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law and is admitted to practice in both Virginia and New Jersey.

Ms. Hayba is an active participant in the Northern Virginia legal community, including as a member of the Family Law and Young Lawyers Sections of the Fairfax Bar Association. Ms. Hayba has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Virginia Super Lawyers in 2019 and 2020.

Ms. Maresco handled a child support matter for me (a father). She was very well informed, not only on the case law and legal aspects of the matter, but also was able to add nuanced intuition and instincts to her counseling in my case. She has a thorough knowledge of the law, precedents, and importantly, the details of rulings in the venue in which we were operating. Perhaps most importantly, she was very timely in her responses to my questions and communications, and clearly is a very client-service oriented attorney and advocate.

Excellent Services

Jenna was extremely helpful through my custody and visitation case. First most, she helped me to understand the process for my case and gave me a clear understanding of what I could expect throughout my case. Once we began to discuss my visitation agreement she assisted me with setting a step-up visitation proposal and discovery. Throughout this process she was always available for my questions and available for an in-person meeting or over the phone. For me she was most helpful for setting realistic expectations and guided me to the reality of my situation. Once we had a proposed agreement and received responses from discovery I was prepared for mediation where all my terms were agreed to. Thank you to Jenna for a successful outcome of my case.

Excellent lawyer for prenuptial agreement

Jenna helped me with my prenuptial agreement. She listened to the things that were important to me and provided me with advice to make informed decisions. The process was a lot more straight forward than I expected and I felt comfortable from the first day we met for a consultation. I am satisfied with end result and believe Jenna did an excellent job. Adult Adoption

After being a step-father for 26 years, I adopted my two adult children. Ms. Maresco and the entire staff of Lifesay and Myers were outstanding. Although a fairly routine matter, Ms. Maresco kept us up to date as things progressed and patiently explained every step. I recommend her without hesitation.

Support for Divorce Action

Ms. Maresco was assigned to my divorce action mid-stream as my original attorney decided to leave the Livesay and Myer law firm. I was very concerned that my case would fall through the cracks or suffer delays as a result of the attorney change. Ms. Maresco made immediate contact to reassure me that I had her full attention. Ms. Maresco provided very competent, professional, and responsive support in helping me to complete my divorce action in the most timely and efficient manner.
