I was having some serious concerns about the way my Condo Association was being managed. I suspected misuse of funds and other serious misconduct. I contacted Ms. Peeples for a consultation. She patiently offered suggestions and feedback.
It was clear to see that she is extremely honest and sincere about defending justice. I’ve consulted with a number of attorneys and Ms. Peeples is the only one who seemed more interested in helping me than getting paid.
While I haven’t yet moved forward with my case because I’m trying to work things out through mediation, I suspect I’ll be hiring Ms. Peeples to assist me. There’s no substitute for having someone honest and capable to help you through challenging legal situations.
I highly recommend Ms. Peeples to anyone seeking legal assistance.
Ms. Peeples brings nearly twenty years of “big firm experience” to her small firm practice. She handles a broad range of business and complex litigation matters, contract matters, real estate matters and zoning/land use matters. While her litigation practice places an emphasis on business torts, contracts, construction law, and real estate litigation, she is a seasoned litigator in various other practice areas including mass and toxic tort litigation, insurance defense litigation, products liability litigation, and general civil and commercial litigation.
When not in the courtroom, Ms. Peeples is using her extensive experience in land use and zoning matters to represent clients before the Frederick County Planning Commission, the Frederick County Board of Appeals, and various other municipal zoning and planning agencies. She has successfully appealed zoning decisions to the Circuit Court for Frederick County.
Ms. Peeples maintains an active appellate practice and has authored numerous appellate briefs and appeared before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
After graduating from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1998, Ms. Peeples clerked for the Honorable Thomas E. Noel in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
When not “lawyering” or in court, Ms. Peeples can be found “on the court.” She is an avid tennis-player, cyclist, and an accomplished martial artist.

Outstanding Knowledge, unparalleled integrity
I hired Brandy Peeples in 2014 after finding myself in a difficult situation with my newly purchased home. Stuck with multiple challenges she guided me through stormy waters for 4 years as we ironed out the issue with multiple parties with complicated attachments. Brandy investigated the issues, professionally managed my expectations, and provided directions on how to move forward with my household while the issue ground it's way through court. This culminated in 2019 in a fair and agreeable settlement with the involved parties helping me recover the damages I was left with after closing on the home. All attorney fees were transparent and purposely kept to a minimum and she was always quick to return emails and phone calls. In closing, I hope to never be involved in a civil dispute again but if I or a family member is, they would be sent to Brandy.
I give my highest conceivable endorsement of Brandy Peeples.

Contract Dispute
My wife and I hired Brandy for a contract dispute and we are quite pleased with her services. Not only did we have a favorable outcome but the entire time we felt that she had our backs. Brandy is very knowledgable and handled our case with ease. She is easy to communicate with, unlike most lawyers, and genuinely cared about our case. I always had timely responses to my emails and phone calls. Even though the trial is over, we are still working together on properly collecting the judgement. We would definitely recommend her services and if we ever need anything again we will be calling Brandy!

Always Prepared, Always Responsive, Knows Her Law, And Fair!
If I could say one thing about Brandy's handling of my case, it's that you feel secure with her on your side. You can tell that she takes pride in defending her clients. The motion to dismiss my case dessimated the opposing counsel's motion and the case was dismissed without prejudice and without need for oral arguments. Another thing that I liked about Brandy is that she doesn't tell you what you want to hear, she lays out the case from all fronts warts and all and that assures that you go in with a plan A, B, and C. Sadly, I've had experience with other lawyers billing excessively, Brandy has always been fair. She doesn't nickle and dime you, look lawyers aren't cheap but Brandy's rates are fair, more importantly I feel like she is honest with her billable hours (which sadly has not been the case with other lawyers me and my wife has used). I highly recommend her. (Note: my matter was a real estate dispute and she also has written a contract for sale of a business and sublease which was very well written and ratified without incident)

Devoted Dedicated Hands down a friend and a real Pro
OMG. I contacted her office. She asked me to fax her the case papers so can review and get back to me with a game plan. Then she did some research on her own and called me back for a 20 minutes Free Consultation over the phone. She covered all the bases for my defense. On the phone it was me who got tired and wanted to hang up not her. She gave me her devoted dedicated diligent time. Unlike other greedy lawyers who after talking to you in few minutes will say $ 5000 retainer fee bla bla and they hang up. Not Brandy. You feel like she is your friend from get go out to help you not empty your pocket. I would recommend her hands down, Yes Yes Yes

Average
Paid initial consultation fee. Talked over the phone for about 30minutes. When email for further questions, no response. But she would represent me if I pay to retain her. Did not move forward.
Response from Brandy PeeplesNovember 20, 2015
We as lawyers only have our knowledge to sell. After 2 calls to my office on 10/19/15, you and I spoke on 10/20/15, and I forwarded you the Initial Consultation Agreement. I accepted payment for an hour of my time in accordance with that agreement. Note that my office normally schedules consultations at least 1 week from the date of inquiry, because my schedule fills quickly. Although I typically do not provide an immediate consultation, I agreed to do so because you had just arrived from out of town and needed immediate assistance. Thus, I rendered a legal opinion upon extremely short notice-halting work on other pressing matters in the process.
My Initial Consultation Agreement provides in pertinent part: "In your initial consultation, you and the attorney will identify the type of case you have, the key issues, and the options you may have under law. You and the attorney will discuss whether the firm will represent you, what the representation could involve, and the amount of the initial retainer deposit that would be required *** Please be advised that the Firm has not agreed to represent you in connection with your matter unless you have signed a separate Agreement of Retainer, which can be provided to you after the initial consultation has concluded. If you or the Firm fail to sign this contract for legal services, an attorney-client relationship between you and the firm will not extend beyond the initial consultation."
Your paid consultation included: (1) reviewing your contract documents, which included 12 documents and an inspection report (2) researching applicable Maryland case law and land records, and (3) holding a telephone conference with you. The aforementioned work took more than one hour's time. However, as a courtesy to you, I capped my consultation fee at 1 hour. Unfortunately, as I explained to you, you were in an unfavorable position with little or no legal recourse. I also explained to you your potential liability exposure (including liability for the other side's attorneys' fees) and gave you your options. That my legal advice was dead accurate and not welcomed to you does not warrant a negative review because you sought legal representation outside the scope of the initial consultation.
Following the consultation on 10/20/15, you sent me an email stating the opposing side's position with your question "Can you help us out?" I responded on 10/20 and again on 10/21 indicating your options. You then sent me an email as to my opinion on what it would take to resolve this matter, to which I responded -- "these scenarios are fact-specific and I cannot begin to guess as to what it would take to settle this matter without more information." No response was received from you following that email. Although, I had already provided you with a legal opinion, I did respond to all of your emails on 10/20 and 10/21, even though you had not retained me beyond the initial consultation.
That I did not provide you with legal representation or opinions beyond what was agreed in our Initial Consultation Agreement is not a reflection of my legal abilities or my billing practices, which among my colleagues are known to be extremely client-friendly and fair. I'm sorry your expectations fell short; however, I stand by the legal opinions given. That you would give a negative review because you expected free and continuing legal advice beyond the initial consultation without the signing of a formal Agreement of Retainer is disappointing. I can assure you that most of my colleagues -- especially with your type of matter - would not have been as generous as I have been with you in the billing department (multiple phone calls, multiple emails, and the actual review and research would customarily be billed at .1 of an hour rounded up). I provided immediate and accurate advice -- you wanted something for nothing. I'm sorry that affected your ability to provide a fair review.

"I was opposing counsel on a contentious issue with Ms. Peeples. The matter would likely have went to litigation absent her clear understanding of the applicable law, knowledge of litigation costs, and extraordinary professionalism. Would not hesitate recommending her service to potential clients in the future. Glad we came to a fair resolution, Brandy."
