I first came to Mr. Bennett by a family referral for a traffic citation I wanted to contest. Mr. Bennett was extremely helpful and transparent throughout my DUI/DWI case. Let me tell you a little about my case. I am 2nd time DUI/DWI offender who was pu...lled over in Moco. I took the field test but refused the breathalyzer and was immediately locked up. The officers did a search of my vehicle and found several empty beer bottles/cans in the vehicle in which they intended to use as evidence. I had been drinking that evening, but I had only had 2 beers at a local pub and did not understand why the officer had pulled me over in the first place. First and foremost, I did my research and met and spoke with several local attorneys in the Moco area. I found Mr. Bennett through Avvo and visited his site and submitted an inquiry. He promptly got back to me within the hour and requested that I come into his office for a consultation. At first I was skeptical because all I really wanted to know was how much this was going to cost me and most attorneys I spoke with were okay with giving that information over the phone. I will now be the 1st person to tell you, do not pick your attorney just based off of their price! Anyways, I walked into Matt's office and immediately got that "Breaking Bad," Saul Goodman vibe. I let Matt review the documents I had received from the officer and the charges that I had pending. Matt dissected them in under 30 minutes and told me that he would recommend that I plead "not guilty" and attempt to fight my case. Next, Matt and I began to prepare for my trials (Court and MVA). He was able to obtain copies of the police report, videos of the stop and everything else that was needed. Naturally, I was nervous at first and would always follow up with Matt but he and his secretary were always on top of things. They would send me notices in the mail of when my different hearings were and I honestly did not have to do much of anything at all. Matt and I met a few days before my trial and spoke on things and reviewed my case one more time. Matt was happy and eager to answer any questions I had via phone or email at ANY time. You MUST know when hiring an attorney that there is no guarantee that you are going to win your case; however, you can be confident that you will receive your money’s worth and that Matt will do his damn best to represent you. Matt’s true skill set did not begin to truly shine until I got to see him in action within the court room. Matt’s ability to paint a picture with words and dissect my case and traffic stop to the judge literally left me speechless. While questioning the arresting officer, Matt was able to use the officers own statements and police report in our favor. He literally had the officer on the stand stuttering over his words and looking like a deer in headlights! What was the outcome you ask? I had 4 pending charges and possible jail time, all of which Mr. Bennett was able to get dismissed. He was able to use his skill set to convince the judge that the officer had no reason to pull me over in the first place (illegal traffic stop). Matt is a very likable and funny guy who has established a rapport with many of the areas attorneys and judges. His ability to build relationships, listen, conduct research, think proactively, communicate effectively and be knowledgeable in his areas of practice make him a TOP NOTCH attorney. DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE MATTHEW BENNETT AT ANY COST! HE IS WORTH IT!

Matthew Bennett is a fantastic lawyer!! I didn’t know what to expect, I just knew we needed a good lawyer who would work aggressively on my daughter’s behalf. I have to say he has exceeded all of my expectations. We had court this week and I think I am still in shock at the outcome. My daughter ha...d a traffic stop with multiple (5) citations. From every meeting from the first to the last, Matthew walked us through our case, what to expect, and what my daughter needed to do before court. We put our faith and trust in Matthew, and he delivered 1000%! He was ready to go to trial to argue the case, but ended up negotiating a plea agreement that satisfied all parties. Court is very intimidating, even when you haven’t done anything wrong. Had she not followed Matthew’s advice, the outcome likely would have ended badly. It was fascinating watching Matthew work his magic in court. Not only did Matthew defend my daughter, he convinced the state’s witness to testify on her behalf to her cooperation, truthfulness, and openness during her police interview! Great job, Matthew!!
