Unfortunately, I had been involved in two separate cases. (At two different times) I was scared and desperate for help. Someone had referred Mr. Bennett so I made plans to meet. Next, my offense was more serious and was going to be an uphill battle. (I was facing jail time) I was dealing with not only the courts but the MVA as well. Again, when I went back to him he agreed and he began working on my case. First, I had to go before the MVA judge. The judge ruled I would have to participate in the interlock program for a year or I couldn’t drive. After talking with Mr. Bennett, he agreed we could appeal the decision since we had enough evidence to challenge it. After his hard work, he managed to get me off the interlock program after only 5 months instead of 12! Now we prepared for court and due to Covid we did not get a court date until 18 months after the incident. (He worked on my case the entire 18 months too!) I was petrified I may have to go to jail. Well, he got the major charge dropped. I willingly plead guilty to a lesser offense and did not receive jail time! I was elated and so grateful. I can’t say enough to relay my appreciation. As a honest person with integrity who worked hard through out life to have a good reputation and be reliable, when the police came at my door alleging that I was a criminal, yelling at the corridor to the point that neighbors would come to check what was going on, I was totally caught by surprise.
