Well, I am happy to report that if you are ever in a DUI/DWI incident and find yourself in need of representation Michael is by far your best bet! Being someone who has never been in trouble in their entire 32 yrs of life, to say the least, this incident was by far the scariest situation I have ever... been in my entire life. When the incident occurred I did not know where I needed to do but everyone told me I needed to get a lawyer and because of the type of job I have I know I could not depend on anyone. But I did not know where to turn....I did a Google search and talked to a lawyer that would have cost me close to $5K and that was just in retainer fees. But thank God I had enough sense to not go with the first lawyer I contacted so I went on here to look at lawyers in my local area. Apparently when dealing with anything legal in DC you need to make sure your representation knows their way around the DC legal system because they do things differently here. But needless to say I read his reviews and decided to take a chance and set up a meeting with him that very same day. Just that first meeting with Michael he explained the entire process and listened as I explained to him my particular situation. After our talk I felt very confident that I hired him on the spot! Even though I knew my situation was particularly different from most DUI/DWI arrests and a lot of bs would come to light about it, I wanted to try and stay positive and optimistic about the outcome. Michael let me know that he would represent me very vigorously, but did not promise me anything until he was able to look more into my case. So throughout the (2) court appearances I had, I was so damn nervous I wanted to pass out and throw up all at once, but Michael held my hand the entire way and ensured me that I would be ok. Even when I had questioned at odd hours of the night or day he would return all my texts and emails in an extremely timely matter. So finally the day of reckoning came and I did not sleep at all that night before....but when he told me that my case was DISMISSED I almost fainted! I was so damn happy I could have jumped to the moon! I am so glad that I chose Michael to represent me because the price was half of what I would have paid the other lawyer I was thinking about using and because Michael works for himself you are able to contact him directly and not be channeled through 20 people before they will speak to you! If I am ever in some kind of trouble (and pray that I never will be again!) I will run to Michael again!

I had my first DUI case in Washington DC and didn't know the process at all and any information I found online was either incorrect or confusing. So I contacted Mr. Bruckheim and he explained the entire process and made suggestions without even hiring him, that's how honest and courteous he was from... the very beginning. Once hired he explained every step of the way and was always available to answer my questions regardless of the day (including weekends). I have only the highest praise for Michael Bruckheim and his office staff. We were able to meet with him the next day after we called his office. He has a superb assistant. In our first meeting, he listened carefully and diligently to our concerns regarding an alleged traffic violation. He explain...ed to us our legal rights and while we were at his office, he contacted the concerned parties and informed them that he was representing us and any further communications or contacts concerning our case should be directed to him. This immediately stopped the calls we were receiving from the insurance company. He advised me how to respond to the questions being asked by the insurance comapnies involved in the case and handled all communications with them. He is professionally competent and highly ethical. Among the lawyers I have worked with, he has been the most responsive. He mostly answered my phone calls and Emails immediately and the longest I had to wait was a few hours. He is incredible when it comes to client orientation and service. He is modest, kind, and friendly and puts you at ease. No scare tactics. His 60 minute free consultation is truly free, as he makes no pitch to sell his services. His fees are just as modest as he is. Compared to my experience with other lawyers he could have easily charged me twice the amount he agreed to given all the work he did on my case. We remain most grateful to him. Thank you, Michael. Mr. Bruckheim is calm, collected, knowledgeable, reassuring, efficient, effective and, most importantly, his advice is clear and his judgment is dead-on. I had legal difficulties in DC, and it was clear that, from clerks through the judge, everyone knew Mr. Bruckheim and respected him (comments suc...h as 'he is always on time,' 'always calls to confirm,' 'gets good results for his clients,' e.g.). Thanks to his expert assistance with the criminal justice system, I didn't get to see him in trial-mode action! I would and will recommend him without hesitation to anyone in need.

Went to Michael Bruckheim after getting a DUI. I had met with a few lawyers before him, all of whom lacked knowledge (couldn't answer all of my questions) and charged an arm and a leg. I retained Mr. Bruckheim after I met with him and he was able to answer all of my questions, and charged at least $1...000 less than the other lawyers. He was very patient in explaining the process that I would be going through. Every time another question or concern would pop into my head and I texted or emailed him, if he didn't get back to me within the hour, I had a response by the end of the day. Truthful, knowledgeable, supportive, and extremely amicable. Bonus: he also played all of the cards right so that ultimately, my case was dismissed (!!). I highly recommend this attorney to anyone charged with a DUI/DWI. If I ever get in trouble again (please no, lord) I would definitely retain Mr. Bruckheim again.
