There is nothing more peaceful and reassuring than to have someone who will genuinely and sincerely take up cause and fight patiently, persistently and successfully for you in achieving what has been described by others as an impossible task, that you, also, have come to believe as such too. This is ...how I can describe our experience with Dawn Sequeira, an Immigration Attorney we recently worked with during my wife immigration issues. Our Ordeal rightly began during my wife citizenship interview in July 1996, when an error was discovered in the initial application she submitted for LPR. The application was, then, denied for lack of moral turpitude. However her LPR was not revoked. Over the years we had hired several reputable Immigration Attorneys to appeal and plead her case to the Agency without any success. Each and every one of the appeals was denied for the same reason, which left us in a limbo. We first started to work with Dawn in January of 2014. One thing that first stood out to us about her, was her empathy for our case. While giving us no predictable guarantee of the possible outcome of the case, she promised that she would work hard on the case. Unfortunately she left the firm before the case was concluded. Soon after this, it became obvious to us that we were going witness the same fate again, Denial. The attorney that took over the case did not believe in possible positive outcome of the case. So it was not a surprise to us, when we got 30-days Notice of Letter of Intent to Deny from the Agency. The only response from the new and assigned attorney was to agree with the Agency expressed Intent to deny. We knew that if we still had Dawn, she would continue to fight to the end for us. But she was nowhere to be found. No forwarding address or telephone. Nothing. Thank God, however, for Google search engine, we were able to locate her. Even when we did, she initially sited ethical issues in accepting the case. While we understood her ethical issues, we reminded her that we also have a right to terminate the existing attorney-client relationship for a new one which was going to be her. After we legally and ethically won her over to be our new attorney, with 2 weeks left to the deadline of August 3rd, 2015, Ms Sequeira went to work on our behalf. She prepared a fantastic rebuttal that brought our humanity and Agency’s fortitude together. “To err is human but to forgive is divine” is my philosophical description of her rebuttal. She was in constant communication with the Agency on our behalf even, after submitting the rebuttal, still pleading our case, while emailing us of her progress. It should not have been a surprise, when she called to inform us on July 19, 2016, that her application had been approved and would sworn in on July 27, 2016 as a n American Citizen but it was. Dawn Sequeira is a hard-working compassionate, honest and passionate Immigration Attorney that I have no reservation in recommending her services to such as need them.
