Laura represented me for over 6 years of a nightmare custody battle that would not have been tolerable without her professionalism and support. If you don't have the time or money to waste than I highly recommend not picking Laura Brooks as your legal counsel. She was recommended as being the best. Maybe she was years ago but not now. She don't like to meet in person or talk on the phone. She don't keep you updated on your case unless you ...reach out to her. She file motions late which gives the judge reason to deny them. She's too impersonal instead of being professional when needing to be. She with drew from my case a day before trial due to her "not liking to be questioned about not informing me in a timely manner." She's being paid to work for me and my children best interest. This left me with a lot of adding on stress, time and money wasted, disappointment and confusion. She showed up to trial to only make sure the judge granted her motion to withdrawal. She left my file, which I notice some of my exhibits that was suppose to be presented during trial was missing. Also she charge me for coming to court the day of trial and a couple of other things that she shouldn't gotten paid for. She's a joke! Laura was my first family court lawyer and she was the worst pick ever!! I know what to look for in my next legal counsel and it won't be someone like Laura Brooks.
