Supportive, Communicative and Excellent in the court room

I was really nervous about my child custody case because of how sensitive this area is and the fear I had of losing custody and/or time with my son. Laura naturally supported me through this process which provided me with more confidence in my case. Leading up to court she communicated with me prompt...ly and explained the process clearly. Laura did a great job in the court room. I was so happy with the way she performed. She made the experienced lawyer the other party had look like an amateur. Ultimately, the judge ruled in my favor.

Bad Attitude

I agree with another review that said Laura seemed kind upfront. That ends quickly. In the court room and in front of other lawyers Laura has been rude and ineffective. She yells and rolls her eyes and she has even been talked to by our judge for her attitude. When I had a payment issue she became ru...de to me. When I was upset about her raising her rates even though she lost, she told me it was normal and to get over it. Rude. I wouldn’t recommend.

I apologize that you felt this way. As the post is anonymous, it is certainly hard to reply with any details. I am a very upfront person; the same person you meet in my office, is the same person I am in Court. I work vigorously for my clients and I believe I am well respected by my colleagues and the bench for that passion.

Extraordinary Lawyer

I am a Principal and loving parent of three. Several years ago, I set up a mediation with Mrs. Brooks through Avvo to review my case. It was by far the best decision I have ever made for myself and the welfare of my children. Mrs. Brooks was very knowledgeable about all aspects of my case and the ...law. In addition, she listened to my concerns and it was evident she cared. One of the things I respected most about Mrs. Brooks is her honesty. She painted a very realistic picture for me once all information was presented, and provided sound advice in moving forward with my proceedings. Mrs. Brooks went above and beyond for me and my children, answering question after question, as well as availing herself outside of business hours. Once my case went to trial, Mrs. Brooks did a magnificent job translating my concerns, my dedication as an active father, and requests in being able to lawfully obtain more time with my children. As a result of Mrs. Brooks’ hard work and expertise, I now have equal time in joint custody of my children, and we are doing amazing. There is no doubt in my mind that this would not be possible had I not been recommended to Mrs. Brooks. I would like to formally say thank you to Laura on behalf of myself and my children. You have truly been a blessing to us, and I am extremely pleased to know someone of your integrity and expertise is fighting for fathers like me. Thank you again!
