Paul The Great

This was my first time ever getting in trouble. Paul helped me out the whole way. He Kept me informed about everything and let me know the real deal. He was straight forward and to the point. He let me know all outcomes of the case and which angels we should focus on. Besides him being a great Lawyer... he seems to be a well rounded gentleman that's easy going.

.Shyster Lang

Complete charlatan. You're better off representing yourself than this shyster. Divulges case particulars when he gets bad reviews and takes your money to go to trial, but never does. He is an arrogant little man in a wrinkled suit; do NOT give him your money.

Hello, "anonymous". It seems you have posted a similar review as you did on Google. Below is the reply I put on Google when you made the same claims. It is edited for length on this platform: I have every late night voicemail and text message you have left me and can dispute your entire claim regarding my representation of you for your 2 open cases. You failed to mention in your review a few important details as well as our chronology of your case: 1. You were charged with serious assualt crimes where you used horrific language with the police on two separate days. Despite that, I was still able to secure you bail and got you out of the prison. 2. You first “fired” me around March for not returning your call within 90 minutes (despite texting you that I was in court) and then you came back to my office and apologized for your behavior (I still have the liquor bottle you gave to me in a gift bag). 3. Most recently, you modified your appointment where I was preparing you for trial. On the day of your prep session, you wanted to participate by Zoom. You did not let me complete more than two sentences in your prep session before you yelled at me and screamed obscenities. 4. Two days later, on Friday night into Saturday morning, I received multiple calls from you and your boyfriend and was asked by text to not “dump you” as a client. I advised that, ethically, I could not continue on the case given the history of your behavior towards me. 5. You then left multiple messages at my law office in various accents and threatened my office. 6. I then blocked your number as I received another bizarre voicemail. I have never had to withdraw from a case before. Your’s was the first. I hope you find an attorney to take your case. I would urge you to listen to their advice, strategy, and experience. I also hope you take stock of your behavior and realize that you should not treat anyone this way, including the one person who was trying to help you.

Don’t get me wrong he’s a great guy and has a strong pull within the court system. But if you are fighting anything major or firearm related you are better off joining a lodge and becoming a Freemason, they get away with anything.

Unfortunately, this same person has decided to post two negative reviews anonymously. I am posting my response to your other review here as well: You were charged with felony gun possession, misdemeanor drug possession and DUI out of Bucks County. You failed field sobriety tests and gave consent to search your car, which resulted in the gun and drugs being found. I hit the government very hard at the preliminary hearing and filed significant motions. About 3 months ago, upon your authority, I began negotiations. The DA agreed to drop the felony and agree to probation on the gun case and the mandatory minimum on the DUI. You were thrilled. The felony was dropped to a misdemeanor. You said in your review that you have a felony on your record - you are wrong. You are not reading the charges correctly. You missed court the next day and I convinced the judge not to issue a bench warrant. As you know, we would send you letters and call you to come in to review the case. You didn’t come into the office for any other appointments because you “were good” with the negotiation. Two weeks ago, we entered the negotiated plea agreement. We filled out the paperwork with your mother present and you stated in open court this was your decision (you were asked twice “is this decision your’s and your’s alone? And you responded “yes” on paper and in open court). You then decided not to report to probation. Now, you’re having second thoughts and this is because of me ? Since the plea, I’ve spoken to you 4 times, returned an inordinate amount of texts, spoke to your uncle individually, texted with your uncle, and had a conference call with you and your uncle. You later posted this and another review after I didn’t return your call at 7:53 a.m. this past Saturday. As I told you since the beginning, I would go to trial if the client wants. You did not want that. No one put the words in your mouth at court. Blame the system, Bucks County, and anything else you want. But you really shouldn’t be blaming me for the decision you controlled and ultimately made. I would have done whatever you wanted. As far as your racial statements, I am deeply offended. I have proudly represented all individuals (as the 450 other reviews show) and am proud of the diversity of my clients.

Beware of this guy!

My wife and I hired this "lawyer" to represent our nephew on a CDS charge. He was all talk and boy was he good at talking! When it came to representing our nephew...NOT SO MUCH!! Talk about a SHEISTER! You've been warned!

Paul Lang

Replied last April 22, 2017

I suspect this "review" has been fraudulently posted by a competing lawyer. First, I have never in my entire career encountered a person who calls it a "CDS" charge except attorneys. It is referred to as a "possession" charge, never a "CDS" except between prosecutors and lawyers. Second, a CDS charge is perhaps the most basic of cases and is pretty difficult for even inexperienced lawyers to screw up. Third, I have not represented a person whose uncle was involved in their case. Finally, I would remember if a client was unsatisfied. As such, I believe this is a competing, jealous attorney who is trying to tear down a reputation I've worked damn hard to build. Please read the 100+ other positive reviews and cases of success. Update: Please keep in mind that "CDS" is a possession charge in NJ. As my practice has become busier in PA, I have taken very few cases in NJ. I have had one CDS case in NJ in the last 3 years. It was for a 40-something year old man who retained me (not his uncle) and his case was in Lambertville Municipal Court. I was able to get his entire case dismissed --Not downgraded, not amended -- dismissed. He is a friend to this day. Clearly, this review is fraudulent.

"Louis H. Pollak, one of Pennsylvania’s greatest legal minds, once wrote that “[s]marts are a dime a dozen . . . [i]t’s wisdom, coupled with humanity that counts.” Having made it through 4 years of college, 3 years of law school and having passed the bar exam, most of the people in this profession are bright, but Paul Lang also has a number of the other intangibles that make him one of the best at what he does. Paul has the discipline, character and life experiences that separate him from the many many attorneys out there practicing today. For Paul, his work is not just about making money, it's a profession and it's about improving peoples’ lives. I couldn't recommend him higher as a potential attorney and also as a person."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
