Matt did the closing for my house on Long Island. Matt and his paralegal, Donna were incredibly efficient in what was a very difficult closing through the COVID-19 restrictions. Donna was our main point of contact through most of the process. Owing to her diligence, dedication, and attentiveness, despite undoubtedly handling multiple clients, our interactions with her always felt as if we were her only client. Unique to this practice is the "mock closing" which was done early on to go over each line of the contract, illustrate the flow of money between the buyer, seller, and bank, and to ensure our finances were in order. We have worked with Matthew over the past few years having him represent us in three separate real estate closing/purchase transactions. He is professional, always available any time day/night/weekend to answer our questions/concerns, and always willing to go the extra mile for his clients. His fees ...are reasonable as well. Matt was very good. He was referred by a friend. Now here is the twist. My wife & I purchased a home in 2001. From all aspects it appeared to be a straight forward transaction. Fast forward 16 years (even after multiple refinances). We place our house on the market & we get an acceptable offer relati...vely quickly. Matt handled the contract which went smoothly. As we were preparing to set a closing get date, Matt & his office notice something odd in the deed. There was a life estate in the original deed. Which in short meant that the people we bought the house from in 2001 still had an interest in our home. After 5 months of research & work, Matt & his office found a way to get the job done...... It was extremely stressful from our side, but Matt & his office kept assuring us that it would all work out. They did a great job, hope this review is helpful. This was in no way a simple closing, they made it look easy. If you need an attorney, consider Matt, he will get the job done.

My wife and I had heard for years how stressful and agonizing the closing experience would be. Not so with Mr. Tannenbaum. From the moment we met to go through the seller's contract, he stayed on top of the transaction, explaining everything clearly and providing regular updates from his conversati...ons with the sellers' attorney (there was never a need to chase for information). Mr. Tannenbaum often prefers to communicate by phone, which is an under-appreciated value add. This allows you to ask questions up-front, without the need for back-and-forth before getting the information you need. He and his staff are very organized and we could not have asked for a smoother transaction on the day of our closing. On a few occasions, when contract language was not in agreement with our expectations, Mr. Tannenbaum went to bat for us and set things right with the sellers' attorney. I would highly recommend Mr. Tannenbaum for any of your legal requirements. He made one of life's largest transactions an enjoyable experience for us.
