Biography
Over the course of the last twenty eight (28) years, Mr. Kommor has established himself as one of the most prominent attorneys in the areas of Divorce Law, Family Law, and Criminal Law. To this end, Mr. Kommor has repeatedly proven his superior courtroom skills and negotiation techniques which have led to extremely favorable outcomes for his clients. After graduating law school, Mr. Kommor served as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. As a prosecutor, Mr. Kommor conducted numerous trials and argued extensively before the New York State Appellate Division. In addition, Mr. Kommor served as a prosecutor in the Domestic Violence Unit where he investigated and prosecuted family offense cases. At the conclusion of his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kommor entered into private practice. Since that time, Mr. Kommor has concentrated in the areas of Criminal Law, Matrimonial Law, Family Law, Appellate Advocacy and Trial Advocacy. Mr. Kommor has acquired significant experience in the handling of complex matrimonial cases involving issues of child custody, support, equitable distribution, and asset evaluation. In addition, Mr. Kommor's services have been utilized by numerous prestigious law firms as trial advisor and counsel. Further, Mr. Kommor has lectured on behalf of the Nassau County Bar Association and New York Legal Institute.
