Brian was recommended to me by my real estate agent who also happens to be one of my oldest friends who has a lot of experience working with him. I don't think of myself as a very easy client and am certainly pretty cautious when it comes to both financial and legal interactions. All that said, put s...imply, Brian was a fantastic recommendation. Brian: super experienced, no-nonsense, totally on my side, great counsel with a very human approach, and just a nice guy. There's a lot to a real estate transaction that is pro-forma, and Brian was great on that table-stakes level. But what truly differentiated him for me was the above-and-beyond way he worked with me on the purchase. From taking the time to patiently walk through, explain in layman's terms and answer a bunch of my dumb questions about the different elements of the contract and rider - which can be very confusing to a first-time buyer like me; to not hesitating to share his professional perspective on different options and choices we faced; to his going way out of his way to counsel me on a non-purchase-related real estate issue with an apartment I'd been renting that came up during the contracting process that was truly the definition of him going above and beyond; to his ability to identify, research and obtain $6K+ additional closing cost savings that nobody else saw at the closing; the service he provided throughout the purchase experience was nothing short of exceptional. Brian's team: friendly, professional, responsive. Paulette and her colleagues were equally great to work with, performing what can be somewhat rote tasks with professionalism and humor. Good people gather good people around them and Brian has done just that. Brian's network: As a true professional Brian has developed a network of contacts in adjacent industries and doesn't hesitate to recommend people he knows and trusts for things like, in my case, condo insurance. While the first thing one looks for in a real estate attorney is the ability to get the contract and closing done, their real value is in all the other elements that can make the experience a great one, as in my case, or not. Things like always knowing who to connect you to for questions or services he doesn't provide himself is another differentiater that Brian brings in spades. If not obvious from the above, I could not recommend Brian more highly to anyone in need of a real estate attorney.
