Disappointed

When you hire a traffic lawyer, what is the outcome you want: dismissal or not guilty, right? James simply failed to produce this outcome. No amount of fancy talk or mitigating circumstances will change the fact that he charged me a lot of money and failed to get my ticket dismissed. To be f...air I will acknowledge that he got it reduced from to 6 to 4 points; but a 4 point ticket is still a big problem. All these glowing reviews seem to suggest a dismissal is likely - not in my case.

I have already responded to the same review on Google and Yelp. I saved this person two points with the DMV, hundreds of dollars with the DMV and thousands with his insurance company. I always tell my clients and put in writing that THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES and that I will do my best. I did my best and saved this person's license from potential suspension as well. Prior to 10/8, Marc's reviews on Yelp were almost all negative and only after I called this guy out online did he start writing nice things about other businesses. Please look past Marc's negativity and look at my other 150+ AVVO reviews, 150+ Google reviews and 60+ Yelp reviews.

Great lawyer!

I had contacted Mr. Medows after doing a search for traffic lawyers and came upon previous reviews on Mr. Medows on the AVVO site. I contacted Mr. Medows for a ticket that I had incurred. After consulting with him on the phone, he was very nice and explained everything clearly. He always kept me info...rmed with what was going on with my hearings, and at any time I needed to contact him, he always got back to me. He is a wonderful lawyer. I highly recommend whenever you may receive a traffic ticket, to contact him. He goes above and beyond to work on your behalf.

Great results!!!

I've hired Mr. Medows again for a 3 point unsafe move from lane violation....dismissed!!!....very grateful!!!....Thank you!!! Definitely recommend to anyone seeking results!!!

Overpriced

I wish he would've been honest and upfront with me to just pay the ticket or to go to a different lawyer. I let him know that I was not in a good financial position and he still charged over $500. All he did was postpone trial twice, which I could have done myself or which any lawyer could do. At the... end of the trial I was found guilty and have to pay the dmv another $650. If I am ever in this situation again or had to make a recommendation I would suggest to go for a cheaper lawyer, one can be found for about $200-$250 or less. This was my first time in a situation like this I was young and naive and was led to believe that his bigger price tag would lead to a better outcome.

I have responded to this reviewer via Google already. I stated that I always do my best but unfortunately, NYC does not negotiate. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose...my goal is to win because you tell your friends and family (I make more money since you think nicely of me) and I avoid negative reviews..like this one. Please look at all my reviews (over 100+ on AVVO alone) and not just this individual who admits I delayed his ticket twice (also returned his calls, emails and texts immediately). I will do my best for you and hope to achieve a positive result so you tell your friends and family.

Extremely Communicative and Delivered Results

Mr. Medows took my case about a year ago and was very professional throughout the process. The case went well over six months which had me a little concerned, but Mr. Medows always responded within a reasonable time to my inquiries and each time he went to court I got a summary of how things went. ...In the end, he was able to get the ticket dismissed. I highly recommend his service to anyone needing help with a traffic violation.
