I was charged with speeding 87 mph in a 55 mph zone. The penalties for this ticket include 8 points on my NY driving record, a $693 fine, a $450 NY driver responsibility assessment, and a possible increase in my insurance premiums. Lee was able to get the ticket reduced to 10 mph over the limit o...r 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. This reduces the points from 8 points to 3 points. Unlike the originally charged ticket, it is not a violation that by itself can be used to raise my insurance premiums. This reduction also completely avoids the $450 driver responsibility assessment. It also reduces the fine.
