Not for nothing but it’s all in plain view, you can see the fees they charge in both their portals, I had 88G worth of debt, I settled for lesser amounts, some under 50% some over, but don’t complain if you don’t ask all the questions beforehand, yes they did go over their estimated timeframe by a li...ttle bit, this program is not for everyone. If you don’t have a decent income flow this method doesn’t work for you.

For four years, I have been trying to get my debts paid through this so-called "program." They made unauthorized debits to my bank account without communicating with me. I can never get ahold of anyone by email or phone. They paid themselves before paying any part of my debts--and in excess of what I... agreed to. My credit score has been horrifyingly low for all of this time--to the point that I couldn't obtain housing, buy a vehicle and was rejected from a job opportunity because of my bad credit. WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU: you will pay income taxes on the balance of your settlement; they take a minimum of 25% off the top as their fee; a "settled" account will irreparably harm your credit (you'll have to wait 7-10 years before it improves) regardless of paying on the debt and creditors can still come after you to pay-off the balance of settlement. You are not going to save any money--just buy yourself time. If you suffer a hardship and can't pay your bills, it's much better to contact the creditor directly!! This law firm is a joke. They are exploiting vulnerable, desperate people who are trying to do the right thing and need help. Using Gitmeid will only cause more harm.

I needed to clean up my debt and I failed to do more research and used this company. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They started off well, great customer service and now towards the end I'm frustrated and very upset. I paid several thousand dollars for them to work my accounts and I have to call every few days to... make sure they are doing what is needed on my account. You need to be a micromanager and call them to do everything. They never emailed me to confirm an additional settlement was made and I was scheduled to draft a payment that I already paid. Instead they drafted the 2nd payment without letting me know until I called them and the rep stated It was my fault for not calling them to find out THEY made a settlement and did not notify me. Wait, so I have to call you when I'm already paying you to make these settlements and your company failed to notify me this was done? Several thousand dollars that's the wrong answer and that Representative had no right to say that it was my fault for not knowing when they do or don't do their job! Are you serious? I called to close my account and make a final payment to get rid of this company and they tell me it could take 30days for the creditor to agree on a final payment? Why? I paid a lot of money for this company to make things happen and I have been calling every week to make sure they got my payment, sent in the request even though I already asked for that to happen when I made my final payment. I have to call them to make sure they do their job. This is ridiculous. I can't call the creditor directly since I gave them authorization on my behalf to make this happen sooner. So now I have to call Gitmeid back every week until this payment is made. They do not provide paid in full letters, I was told I have to contact the creditors myself for those, which why? That should be provided from Gitmeid. They don't even provide a "graduated" from the program letter to provide a snap shot of everything that was accomplished and completed by the company to show your are done and everything is paid in full. In my experience this is the worst company. Thank you for motivating me to never do get into debt or have to use a company like this again. Life can throw you unfortunate events you may not plan for, but DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY if that happens. I heard of another company that only charged $1000 or less depending on debt, they were transparent, always emailed everything or mailed out letters to let you know what was going on and gave you a close out of the program once completed. If I knew them before this, I would have NEVER used this company. Find anyone else. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS "FIRM". If you are in credit card debt, you are probably feeling like this is your only way out. I am begging you to please not use this company. They are preying on and manipulating desperate people. I came to them with about $12,500 in credit card debt. ...They "settled" my debt for about 8,328.00 while I had been saving money in an account which they told me they would put towards my remaining debt. After 10 months I had deposited almost $3,000 to them and dropped my credit score almost 300 points because they told me I had to stop paying on my credit cards and pay them in stead. Next thing I know, they had talked me into getting a loan (which they pick for you) to pay off my remaining debt with an interest rate higher than my credit cards. At this point, getting a loan from them was the only way I could raise my now TERRIBLE credit score. They also kept all $3,000 from me that I had deposited over the last 10 months. So essentially I owe just as much money as I did before, I have an even higher interest rate, and I have a credit score so bad I can't even rent an apartment. They go so far in their client success kit to tell you to not even take a loan from a family or friend and use them instead. They say if a family member gives you money to pay off your debt, you should take all that money, deposit it into their "savings" account, stop paying on all your credit cards, ruin your credit score, and then let them settle your debts rather than just using that money to pay off your debts on your own. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!! Read below: "If possible, would it be more beneficial for me to take a loan from a friend or family member versus pursuing debt relief? There are benefits to considering loans from friends and family (in some cases, they may not charge you interest or may offer more flexible repayment terms). However, unless your family member is paying off your debt without any expectation that you will pay it back, you will still need to repay what you’ve borrowed. In addition, borrowing from someone close to you may come with unwanted conditions or “strings” attached, and owing a friend or relative money may cause tension in your relationship. If you do choose to borrow from friends or family members, you have the option to use that loan to fully fund your dedicated savings account in one lump sum. My dealings with Gitmeid have been terrible. First of all they indicated they could get my creditors debts down to fifty percent of the original figure. That was a joke. They came no where near negotiating my creditors down to fifty percent. Second, I had one large creditor that took three months of ...haggling. The creditor had served me legally. Finally we came to agreement. I had enough money in my account to pay them over two years. Everything was set up to go, then Gitmeid told me I had to add an additional five hundred dollars a month if I wanted to settle with this creditor. The reason, they wanted five hundred a month for negotiating fees. No way could I afford an additional five hundred a month, I was already paying them a hefty amount. So naturally I am now having a lien put against me house. I questioned why they could not take care of the creditors first and take their negotiating fee at the end. They don't do that. So now they are taking my money, applying it to negotiation fees for the next fourteen months, which means I can't pay any of my creditors for that period of time. I am literally stuck. Please never, never us this company. It will only bring you anguish.
