It’s all in plain view

Not for nothing but it’s all in plain view, you can see the fees they charge in both their portals, I had 88G worth of debt, I settled for lesser amounts, some under 50% some over, but don’t complain if you don’t ask all the questions beforehand, yes they did go over their estimated timeframe by a li...ttle bit, this program is not for everyone. If you don’t have a decent income flow this method doesn’t work for you.

Saving me time.

With initial sign up everything went smooth. Gentleman who helped was very professional. Being on the phone for 1.30 hours everything was signed, sealed and delivered. The no APR and the low monthly fee for all 3 debts equalling $14,000 = roughly $255/Month caught my eye. The next day I'm reading ...reviews(most recent) and it's not looking too good. So I opted to cancel my services w/ Gitmeid this morning. The Initial rep. was very helpful and transferred me to someone who could help me fulfill my request. It started off very professional, kind and understanding. At the end he asks, "Can I do anything else for you." I reply, "no, but thank you for help." He hangs up the phone. Lol. No outro. Threw a Houdini on me, but I'm not mad. He probably felt I was wasting his time. Closing services guy shared his last portion of me losing money if I separated from Gitmeid. I've done the math myself. If I were to pay my debts on my own that would bring me to paying off mid of 2023. My reasoning for cancelling were based off the math, reviews and what was discussed in our signing period, everything seemed prolonged. So they were great in getting me signed, but I opted out because I could pay it off faster than w/ my services w/ Gitmeid. Thank you though for offering me another option.

They get the job done! But the costs...

Positives: It’s not a scam. It took a while and I got sued in the process but they eventually settled. In the space of 2 years, I would have cleared 35k in credit debt. Another plus is that after I signed up with Gitmeid, the collection calls surprisingly stopped, and I also did not have to appear i...n court after I got served. They took care of all legal matters as they said they would. Negatives: They are not very transparent about “how” they do things. They rarely have updates and they give you little information about the process. I called them several times asking for updates and got nothing even after I got served by the creditor. Another negative is that after the settlement was agreed, first thing they did is pull their whole fee amount (over 7K) from the escrow account. That money could have gone a long way I’m sure to negotiate a lower settlement. In the end, a large amount of the money I had saved for a year went to Gitmeid first instead of the creditor? Not cool… And my biggest complaint is that the settlement amount was so high (80%) that once I add their fees, I will end up paying a lot more than what I owed the creditor in the first place. They did not even flinch when they told me over the phone. The conversation was very impersonal. My monthly payment tripled to maintain the payoff schedule to the creditor. Luckily, I got a new better job or else I am not sure how things would have turned out. My Advice Gitmeid will do for you what they say. But don’t think it’s necessarily going to be easier and cheaper. No one can defend your interests better than yourself. In retrospect, I could have faced my creditor and worked something out directly with them.

Know what you can do for yourself

My biggest issue right now is that I paid my debt off earlier than they had estimated since i made extra payments ect. I was told in the beginning I was allowed to do so without penalty. They still have me scheduled for deposits even though everything is paid for. I've called multiple times and spoke...n to multiple different people who promise me i wont get money taken out of my account again and they still continue to do so. Plus it takes them 45 days to refund the money. Absolute bull.

Works but...

I.t worked for me, everything they said would happen happened. Got sued by one creditor and they made that go away. Biggest complaint is that at the end it felt VERY impersonal, I just paid all my debt off and I didn't even get a call or email. If you miss a payment they'll call right away, but once ...you're done... meh Ended up having to pay the bank account service fee for if being open for 2 months even though the was absolutely no point in it being open anymore, but at least they waived their own fee...
