Replied last December 29, 2020This is an issue that came up months after closing. During the contract phase the client hired their own trusted inspector and after the report and back and forth negotiations agreed to a reduction in price for inspection issues and appraisal issues in excess of $25,000.00 in satisfaction of all physical issues and moved to close. While our representation ends at closing which, is the completion of the matter, the clients emailed us over 11 months later about some issues with the roof and I explained to them in detail their options including actions against the inspector in the event that something was missed by the inspector. The last exchanges I received were thanks for the explanation until this un-based/un-hinged comment. If they needed a litigation attorney to pursue the inspector they independently hired for missing something over a year ago, we would have happily recommended someone but we as attorneys have no ties or responsibility for the physical condition of the property as we're not licensed home inspectors.
