My law firm represents clients with confidence, skill and expertise. We concentrate on resolving business and bankruptcy problems--including many types of commercial contract disputes and debtor and creditor-related lawsuits and adversary proceedings--in the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey. Whenever possible, the firm's attorneys explore alternative means of conflict resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
Our goal is to help clients achieve the best possible results when dealing with complex legal challenges coming from business transition, loan defaults, M&A, breach of contract, partner, shareholder, and LLC control contests, and other challenges. We are crisis managers and trusted advisors.
Weltman & Moskowitz, LLP leverages resources and connections to serve lenders, credit unions, property owners, developers, managers, contractors, business owners, executives, investors, professionals, practice groups, and individuals in court rooms and board rooms throughout NY, NJ and LI.
I bring to Weltman & Moskowitz, LLP my personal commitment to do the right things in the right order with the right people. On target and on time.
Client service begins with active listening. I trained as a journalist and writer and know the importance of asking the right questions. Communication skills enable me to create sophisticated legal solutions, just as I used to develop marketing and PR programs for food and apparel brands, hospitality chains and nonprofits.
Solid writing skills translate to winning legal arguments made persuasively and creatively, while always watching the budget.

Are you an attorney? Endorse this lawyer
I endorse this lawyer. Why? I endorse this lawyer. Why? Instead of just stating he will "agree with attorney (name) answer" Mr. Weltman will state the answer and to the point. He has practiced many many years..and it is through practice we learn how to be great attorneys as we see many different scenarios!! Would you go to a surgeon who has done a certain surgery 3 times or 500 times? But the person asking the question will receive a nice detailed reply from Attorney Weltman to the point of their question..is not that what you would want? I hope so. It takes time to formulate and provide an informed answer as he does and although I do NOT know him other than from his answers on this site, I do endorse him! Sincerely, Richard D. Granvold, a bankruptcy attorney who has practiced 29 years and filed over 5,400 petitions in my career in both chapter 7 & 13 .
