Jean L. Chou

As a former marketing director for a large continuing legal education company, I've gotten to know my fair share of lawyers. After starting my own business (not CLE related), I operated as a sole proprietor for over a year before deciding I should incorporate. I did consult one other lawyer (an i...ndividual who had worked in the field for many, many years), but I felt as though he brushed over my questions and just wanted to give me the "right" answer. After feeling frustrated with his approach, I decided to save myself money and complete the forms myself. Of course many months later I still hadn't gotten around to filing the forms, so I began the search for a new lawyer and was happy to find Jean Chou. Jean patiently listened to all of my questions and thoughtfully considered which business structure would be best for me. When it came time to navigate the required paperwork, she was beyond flawless. She even helped me with things that were probably below her expertise, just so that I could rest easy knowing that everything was done correctly. If I had to use 3 words to describe Jean I would say she is precise, considerate and intelligent. She represents exactly what I was looking for in a lawyer, and I've met enough to know that these qualities are incredibly rare. I also really appreciated how bright and cheery her office is. Her style is refreshingly modern compared to most attorneys, and that is certainly an added benefit. I would highly recommend Jean (and have already sent her referrals).
