She's easy to communicate with and does a great job of explaining legal concepts into plain English. She listened to our concerns and made sure to address all of them while exceeding expectations. Alison Meigh handled my coop closing and I really appreciate her organization and making sure I understood what would happen as the process occurred and also clearly stated the amount of money due at closing. The previous owner attempted to tell me that I owed for the taxes at the closing. If Aliso...n had not been there I would not have known what to do.

As a first-time purchaser, I went to Jean for what seemed to be a simple real estate transaction for a co-op. Before I even made an offer, Jean took the time to walk me through the entire process and what I should expect, putting my mind at ease. From the time of my offer and through to the closing..., Jean was responsive and kept me apprised of things as they happened. We unfortunately experienced two delays outside of our control. First, a flood occurred in the unit prior to closing and Jean was immediately helpful in determining the best course of action and negotiating the remedy. Second, the seller's bank delayed due to missing bank documents, and Jean was on top of the next steps in moving the closing and minimizing the impact to my costs. What I initially thought was going to be a simple transaction got a little complicated and took a little longer and I was glad that I had Jean there to guide me along the way. I would highly recommend Jean to anyone looking for an *trustworthy* experienced attorney.

I am a first-time home buyers and would recommend Jean Chou as a real estate attorney with reasonable rates. I say she's very good. Jean is very thorough and considerate with our real estate purchase. She has a deep knowledge of condos and coops and looks out for her client's best interest. Des...pite the challenges and delays imposed by our seller's attorney and bank, Jean swiftly responded to my many inquiries with sound advice and helped move along the closing as best as she's capable of doing. Jean's also very respectful and easy to work with. She has a network of professional contacts from mortgage bankers to appraisers needed for the purchase. Some are better than others. Please check their references. (I do not recommend Chau Huynh at Wells Fargo who is very unresponsive and curt and the appraiser who did a hasty job.) However, I do appreciate Jean's ready recommendations. Overall, Jean was great in handling our case. Her office is easy to get to and she always makes herself available to answer questions and go out of her way to make sure her client's voice is heard.
