Robert Francis Davies

Began consulting in 1989 -- sometime on engagement, sometimes not. She had an affair, and filed for divorce in 2001 (after I'd had a string of good years) granted in 2003 while I was out of work (since the 2001 crash). Found an engagement but the 2008 financial crisis hit. I was 55 years old, and... out of work again. Kept paying high alimony. Court did not care I was out of work during the 2 years of divorce proceedings, or that I sent between 5-10,000 resumes out after the 2008 crash. Could not find professional employment. Worked stocking shelves at CVS for a while. Eventually used up my savings. Was arrested a dozen times for non-payment of alimony. Jailed multiple times; the last for failure to meet a court order -- that I get a job paying enough to pay the 4,000/mo. (plus arrears) alimony. Mr. Davies took on my case, deferring his payment. He filed multiple motions, and responded to more by my ex-wife (who had over a dozen appeals -- the last, to re-do everything as she found an $400 arithmetic error in a 2001 filing). Mr. Davies orchestrated a Court review/hearings/settlement (involving testimony that at age 65, my technical skills were obsolete and the market for my employment doing what I had done was ended.) The settlement reduced my alimony to 1,000/mo. payable till I was 67 1/2, then 500/mo. for the next 300 months. The legal system is a joke. It did not consider my masters-degree level wife's work history; nor her refusal to work, or more. She stole money given by my parents for my son's education -- the receipts have their handwriting. The judge said I could not prove she had taken the money. Men get hammered; women are treated unequally. Now, I am receiving Social Security; and making short videos with lessons to remind: you help yourself when you help others, "Be More Better" on YouTube. I am glad I found Mr. Davies (from a close friend's recommendation.) Thank you Mr. Davies, for your compassion, and legal skill in fighting the unfair, uncaring, unreasonable legal system

After enduring huge missteps with 2 other (recommended) attorneys during a bitter and costly divorce involving children who were being manipulated against me, I finally retained Mr. Davies after a google search on my own and was able to finally find the peace I needed to tie up loose ends that were n...ever resolved. I've met Mr. Davies at a divorcee support group that he leads. Which is great to meet people who are going through the same things, I was impressed by this service and hired Mr. Davies. Initially, I thought my divorce would be quick, but then it turned real nasty. Mr. Davies helped me fight haras...sment charges, an order of protection and through divorce proceedings. Mr. Robert Davies is an excellent divorce attorney who counseled me in my divorce from a very angry ex-wife that also involved custody of a 3-year old son. During the last 18 months of my marriage, my ex-wife became overly attached to our son and grew emotionally distant from me. That is the reason I... wanted a divorce. During the divorce process, it became apparent that her goal was gain full physical custody of our son, despite the fact that our case did not warrant such an outcome. My adversary most likely knew that she would be unable to get what she wanted. So she invoked a series of stall tactics, the ethics of which were highly questionable, whose sole purpose was to frustrate me. My adversary was fiercely determined to have our son all to herself, for reasons that are still unknown to me today. Lucky for me, Mr. Davies was able to break the iron grip of control that my ex-wife had on our son. For example, while we were still living together during the divorce process, my ex tried to forbid me from taking our son overnight out of the house. Mr. Davies went to court for me and got our judge to permit weekend overnights for either of us on alternating weekends. Because of my ex-wife's determination, both of us retained child psychologists who conducted respective best interests evaluations. In finding a psychologist for me, Mr. Davies researched some names and asked me to reach out to them and ultimately choose one of them. Without his help, I would not have even known where to begin there. In the end, Mr. Davies was able to reach an acceptable custody agreement with my adversary. My son now lives with me 2.5 nights per week, which was a huge victory for me, considering the determination of my adversary. As the father of a 3-year old son, this is as good as an arrangement as I could have gotten in this situation. During the final settlement phase, I insisted on a parenting coordinator, per the recommendations of both best interests evaluations; my adversary did not. In the courtroom, Mr. Davies explained to our judge what the role of our parenting coordinator would be. In the end, our judge named us a parenting coordinator, against the will of my ex-wife. If anybody needs a divorce attorney who is knowledgable of NJ family law and will not tolerate nonsense from the adversary, I highly recommend Mr. Robert F Davies.
