I can't rave enough about The Law Offices of Peter Van Aulen. From my first initial contact with them I knew instantly that Peter was going to be an excellent lawyer for my case. Not only is he a fantastic lawyer, but he is very understanding, knows how to listen to his clients, and extract those details which make a big difference when dealing with difficult cases. Peter has a mind-set that few people do and I appreciate every effort he has made with my case. My case was very difficult and he was always right on with focus on the right attitude. He faithfully commits to get the job done accurately. I didn't know many law terms until he explained things so easily for me. He's not just some lawyer like many others out there who want to be quick with your case, he takes his time and explains everything before standing in front of a judge. He made me feel comfortable and had a willingness to do what it takes. I highly without a doubt recommend Peter and his team all the way!

Exceptional Divorce Attorney
Peter is very knowledgeable on all levels and provided smart and solid advice during my entire divorce process. Peter is compassionate and good listener. He also can fight and play hard ball when necessary. His office staff was easy to work with and Peter ended my divorce with the outcome I wanted without breaking the bank. Amazing Lawyer
Peter Van Aulen was an amazing lawyer for me. He helped me avoid a final restraining order and had helped me reach a civil agreement instead. As a rising freshman in college, this was a huge relief as my record will not be tainted. I am extremely lucky. Peter worked miracles for me.

Glad I hired Peter!
At first, when I found myself facing the divorce situation, I had no idea who to turn to. Furtunately, I found Peter Van Aulen on the Internet and after meeting with him, I felt more comfortable. As he explained my legal options and obligations I felt more reassured, as he is very knowledgeable! His fees are reasonable. At the end of the legal process, I'm very glad I hired him!

Fantastic Attorney!!
12 years ago I went through a very difficult divorce. Over the years I struggled to meet the demands of my original divorce decree. Several attorneys I consulted with just took my money and did nothing to help me. I think they barely read any of my documents. Then I found Peter Van Aulen. All I can say is WOW!!! On the day of my first visit with Peter I knew I had my guy. He carefully read through all my documents and found things that at least three other attorneys overlooked. I felt very comfortable sitting down with Peter and discussing my case. He did not judge me in any way. He was compassionate and sympathetic to my situation. He didn't shoot from the hip or sell me a dream. Peter set realistic, achievable goals. Also there was no sense of being rushed out of his office. Doing business with Peter feels like dealing with a friend, not just an attorney. From start to finish Peter and his staff provided me with the best legal advice and top shelf support throughout the process. He always kept me in the loop and up to date on all the proceedings.The good news is, with his guidance, I did get the outcome I was looking for and MORE!! Solid lawyer.
Peter was knowledgeable, especially concerning the wife's side of the divorce. He is available and easily reachable. His assistant, Debbie, is wonderful. Peter was honest and up front with all details. I would recommend him and have done so.

Wonderful, straightforward lawyer!
Peter Van Aulen is an honest, kind and caring lawyer with a firm grasp of the law. Peter very thoroughly explained the divorce process and was more than happy to answer my many questions. I left the consultation feeling confident that he would be a strong advocate. Peter (along with his assistant Debbie) handled my divorce with utter professionalism. When the process was made extremely difficult by my former spouse’s irresponsible behaviors, Peter was quick to respond to my concerns and updated me as things moved forward. He was very upfront about the cost/benefits associated with pursuing certain legal courses, therefore making my decision-making process much easier. I never lost faith in Peter’s ability to persevere. After the divorce, when my ex decided not to honor the terms, Peter helped me correct the situation in a timely matter. In short, I could not be more pleased with the services performed by Peter Van Aulen, and I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone in need of a family lawyer.

Cannot Recommend Based on My Experience
I put down a retainer with Peter, and he took (too many) months to return my unused portion, as I did not commence a divorce proceeding with him. I went to his office after work, and he was kind enough to drive me home a couple of times. Later on, I paid him for 30 minutes of additional consultation (I sent him a check immediately), but he would not answer 3 follow-up questions by either text or email. I assume this is because he wanted another retainer deposit, but he did not answer me at all and so I really don't know. As a result I would not recommend him due to his lack of follow-through. I am going to another lawyer that I can feel more confident is looking after my interests as well as his/her own..
