I found Mr. Pietruska based on a neighbor's word after my accident in 2014. I was hit by a car while crossing the street and hurt my shoulder. He was kind and compassionate and seemed genuinely interested in not only my case, but also in me getting well. After meeting with him the first time, he told me to make sure I followed my doctor's advice and treatment plan. I went to my doctor and he recommended an MRI of my shoulder which showed the rotator cuff tear. A couple months later I had my surgery done by my doctor who did a great job. While I was recuperating Mr. Pietruska and his staff set up my whole claim and made sure my bills were paid. After he filed a law suit I had to go to his office to meet with the other sides lawyers once and he was right there with me every step of the way. He got all my records from my doctors and sent them to the insurance company. When it came time to settle the case, he played hard ball with the insurance company and made sure they paid me every last dime or else he would force them to go to trial. He really pushed hard and went the extra mile for me. I hope I never have another accident but if I do, I know that Mr. Pietruska will be my first and only lawyer to call. He is my lawyer for life.

I have had a lot of tickets over time. Unfortunately, that means I have also had a lot of points in the past. I need my license to work or I am screwed.
I received one of those dreaded MVC letters that state "you are now suspended for 180 days"! One of my coworkers told me that Stan Pietruska is a very smart awyer who is great in the court room and had.gotten many tickets thrown out of court, helping him clean up his license. I gave him a call.
I met with Mr. Pietruska and showed him my scheduled suspension letter which had me getting suspended in just 3 short days. Almost right away, he was able to get the MVC to postpone my suspension so that I could have a hearing which he had them schedule. On the day of the hearing, Mr. Pietruska went in with me and spoke to the Hearing Officer. She knew him well from having appeared before her before and she seemed to have a lot of respect for Mr. Pietruska. For once I was not feeling so scared! I let my lawyer do the talking. He was well prepared and knew my case inside and out. Mr. Pietruska pointed out that based on the facts the MVC had violated my constitutional rights by threatening to suspend me! He was able to have them waive my suspension and I was able to start driving later that day.
I can't thank Mr. Pietruska enough for the job he did. He is a true professional and if you ever have license issues or ticket issues, you can not find a better lawyer. I would highly highly recommend him.

In October 2014, my son was arrested for armed robbery. His bail was $100,000 and he was facing 10 years with 85% even though this was his first arrest. One of the boys my son was with gave a statement against him and the victim identified my son as the one with the weapon, the prosecution had a good case. I was referred to Stanley by a friend and I have to say hiring him was the best thing I could have done for my son. The case moved slowly but Stan kept in contact with me every step of the way. In September 2015, my son was released into a drug program and did not have to do anymore time than the 11 months in the county jail. Stanley was able to get my son a second chance to get his life right. I would refer Stanley to anyone looking to get out of a tough situation.

I was driving a couple years ago when I was struck from behind by a truck. I injured my left knee and needed surgery. The first surgery on my did not give me relief. Stan fought with the insurance company for me to have a second surgery to try and help me get better. He sued the insurance company and had a judge order them to treat me. The second surgery unfortunately didnt give me relief and I needed a third surgery. Stan was tireless in fighting with my own insurance company to make sure that they treated me and paid all the bills. Thankfully the third surgery was a huge success and my knee is about 90% of hat it was before. Then Stan took on the owner of the other vehice's insurance and was successful in getting them to settle with me for $350,000. I owe alot to this man and will be forever grateful for the way he made sure I was taken care of both medically and financially. After we settled and when he gave me my final check he also advised me that I should take my money and buy a house which I did. He actually cared enough to care about my future. That means alot and I will never forget it. Stan is not only a great lawyer but he is also a great human being. You can not make a better choice for an attorney if you get injured in an accident.

I was given 4 tickets for doing 105 mph in Newark. A speeding ticket, a reckless driving ticket, improper passing and a failure to stay in my lane. I went to court myself and was told by the prosecutor the judge would take my license for 90 days and I would have to take 7 points on my license. That not being an option I said I wanted to find a lawyer. A friend at work recommended Stan as a smart lawyer and told me that he won his dui trial in Montclair thanks to Stan's work. I met with Stan in his Bayonne office and we discussed my case. He understood the issues and what was at stake. When we went to court he did all the talking and was able to downgrade my tickets to only 2 points (from 16) and most importantly no suspension. When the judge started to yell at me , Stan politely interrupted him and stated "your honor, I have spoken to my client and he understands the situation and you won't see him here again." With that the judge fined me only $200 and sent me on my way. I really appreciated how he handled the whole situation and would highly recommend this lawyer.

I was pulled over in a Middlesex County town for DUI and possession of marijuana. I was driving and had stopped to make a left turn. I was checking my phone and didnt realize the light had turn green. With my bad luck, a cop was right behind me and he pulls me over. I get out of the car and as I was walking back to talk to him, I stumbled and fell at his feet. As he was helping me up, I unfortunatey threw up on the cop's pants and shoes. He got mad and ends up cuffing me and they search my car and of course find my bag of weed in the console. (should never hide it there) They bring me in and charge me and the next day I went to see Mr. Pietruska in his office. I was referred to him by a coworker who had used him and said he was real good. We discussed the case and came up with a strategy as to how he would hande my case.
Mr. Pietruska got the video of my stop and also the discovery paperwork. He met with me and went over everything. We went to court and Mr. Pietruska spoke to the judge and the prosecutor in the back. He then came out and told me he was arguing that he didnt believe the cop had probable cause to pull me over. The judge came out and put the cop on the witness stand. Mr Pietruska said to the judge that the officer had pulled me over because I waited 20 seconds after the light had turned green. He said as far as he knew, there were no laws in NJ that made it illegal for me to be stopped there 20 secs and the cop argued that I was blocking traffic. Mr. Pietruska then said to the cop, "how did you even know it was 20 seconds?" The cop said "because I have been an officer for 18 years I know". Mr. Pietruska then walked to the back of the court, stood on a chair and took a clock off the wall. He then said "officer, on my signal I want you to start counting and let me know when its 20 seconds". The cop ended up saying "now" when he thought it was 20 seconds. Mr. Pietruska (who was standing with the prosector and the clock in his hand) said "Judge, the prosecutor and I have this as between 13 and 14 seconds, not 20. The Judge said he had it at 14 seconds and that while he was not sure 20 seconds would be enough to establish probable cause, he was sure 14 seconds was not enough cause for a motor vehicle stop and he dismiessed all charges against me right then and there. An amazing job by an amazing lawyer. He saved my rear end big time. I would have lost my license, lost my job and a ton of money if I were convicted. I am forever thankful to this super lawyer.
When you are in trouble and need a lawyer, there is no one else to call. He is the man.

I can't thank Mr. Pietruska enough for getting me out of a bad situation I put myself in. I was charged with DUI in a central New Jersey town. I had been drinking at my local bar and while I was buzzed I was not wasted, I got in my car to head home and I end up passing some buddies hanging outside a friend's house on a residential side street I pull over and stupidly park facing the wrong way and greet my friends. I then get out and continue to get my drink on standing right in front of my buddies house. About 20 minutes later the cops come and of course they ask us all if we have been drinking, which its obvious we have as some of us are holding our beer bottles. They then turn their attention to me when they see my car parked the wring way. They give me a field sobriety test and arrest me for DUI. I consulted with Mr. Pietruska and three other lawyers. They all told me I was facing 3 to 7 months suspension at a minimum but only Mr. Pietruska questioned whether the arrest and charges were valid. I really liked what I heard so I went with him. He said that the police did not have probable cause to arrest me for DUI as they never saw me actually driving. Despite the fact that the police said I "had to get there somehow", he went to court with me 3 times and finally convinced the judge and prosecutor to throw the charges out saying the state could not prove that I had been drinking before I parked the car the wrong way. I paid the court nothing, zip, nada. I have learned my lesson and won't be drinking and driving again. If you ever need a lawyer , this guy is good, really good and knows his way around a courtroom.

So I did something really not smart and passed a school bus. The nice officer pulled me over and berated me and then handed me a 5 point "passing a school bus" ticket as well as tickets for having no front license plate, a headlight out and window tint. I went to court with Stan and he was able to convince the prosecutor that she should not mess up my license with a bunch of points. He got my ticket changed to a no point ticket with $150 fine and the other three tickets were dismissed. I definitely recommend Stan if you find yourself needing to go to court to fight tickets.

I hate to admit it but me and my family have used more than our share of lawyers for both accidents and criminal issues. I dont think Im an expert but I know my way in the system. Recently I got a weed charge and Mr. Stanley was able to get it downgraded to just a disorderly conduct. He was real reasonable on the money front and I needed him to come thru for me as I would lose my job if I have a drug charge on my record. Thank you Mr. Stanley!
