Biography
Christine Venezia (formerly Christine Schafer) is a Partner at Legacy Estate Elder & Probate Law Group, where she devotes her practice to estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, and probate administration. Crissy’s commitment to helping families navigate life’s most difficult transitions is rooted deeply in her own personal experiences.
Growing up, Crissy played a major role in caring for her ill grandmother, giving her firsthand insight into the realities of hospital stays, rehabilitation facilities, in-home care, Medicare benefits, and the Medicaid application process. During this time, she also faced the loss of her father, who passed away from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and pneumonia. Before his passing, he remarried but did not implement an estate plan—an oversight that unintentionally disinherited his children.
Witnessing these complex and painful situations shaped Crissy’s decision to become an attorney. Today, she is passionate about helping families avoid similar hardships by creating thoughtful, protective plans tailored to their needs. Her practice includes Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Last Wills & Testaments, Advanced Directives, Medicaid Planning, and comprehensive Estate Planning and Elder Law services.
Crissy has earned numerous accolades throughout her career. She was selected as an American Bar Association Scholar and is a graduate of Elder Law College. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers for seven consecutive years (2018–2024) as a Rising Star—an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in Florida.
