A really super lawyer who won my tough case

I was pulled over in a Middlesex County town for DUI and possession of marijuana. I was driving and had stopped to make a left turn. I was checking my phone and didnt realize the light had turn green. With my bad luck, a cop was right behind me and he pulls me over. I get out of the car and as I wa...s walking back to talk to him, I stumbled and fell at his feet. As he was helping me up, I unfortunatey threw up on the cop's pants and shoes. He got mad and ends up cuffing me and they search my car and of course find my bag of weed in the console. (should never hide it there) They bring me in and charge me and the next day I went to see Mr. Pietruska in his office. I was referred to him by a coworker who had used him and said he was real good. We discussed the case and came up with a strategy as to how he would hande my case. Mr. Pietruska got the video of my stop and also the discovery paperwork. He met with me and went over everything. We went to court and Mr. Pietruska spoke to the judge and the prosecutor in the back. He then came out and told me he was arguing that he didnt believe the cop had probable cause to pull me over. The judge came out and put the cop on the witness stand. Mr Pietruska said to the judge that the officer had pulled me over because I waited 20 seconds after the light had turned green. He said as far as he knew, there were no laws in NJ that made it illegal for me to be stopped there 20 secs and the cop argued that I was blocking traffic. Mr. Pietruska then said to the cop, "how did you even know it was 20 seconds?" The cop said "because I have been an officer for 18 years I know". Mr. Pietruska then walked to the back of the court, stood on a chair and took a clock off the wall. He then said "officer, on my signal I want you to start counting and let me know when its 20 seconds". The cop ended up saying "now" when he thought it was 20 seconds. Mr. Pietruska (who was standing with the prosector and the clock in his hand) said "Judge, the prosecutor and I have this as between 13 and 14 seconds, not 20. The Judge said he had it at 14 seconds and that while he was not sure 20 seconds would be enough to establish probable cause, he was sure 14 seconds was not enough cause for a motor vehicle stop and he dismiessed all charges against me right then and there. An amazing job by an amazing lawyer. He saved my rear end big time. I would have lost my license, lost my job and a ton of money if I were convicted. I am forever thankful to this super lawyer. When you are in trouble and need a lawyer, there is no one else to call. He is the man.

Beat my DUI thanks to this guy

I can't thank Mr. Pietruska enough for getting me out of a bad situation I put myself in. I was charged with DUI in a central New Jersey town. I had been drinking at my local bar and while I was buzzed I was not wasted, I got in my car to head home and I end up passing some buddies hanging outsi...de a friend's house on a residential side street I pull over and stupidly park facing the wrong way and greet my friends. I then get out and continue to get my drink on standing right in front of my buddies house. About 20 minutes later the cops come and of course they ask us all if we have been drinking, which its obvious we have as some of us are holding our beer bottles. They then turn their attention to me when they see my car parked the wring way. They give me a field sobriety test and arrest me for DUI. I consulted with Mr. Pietruska and three other lawyers. They all told me I was facing 3 to 7 months suspension at a minimum but only Mr. Pietruska questioned whether the arrest and charges were valid. I really liked what I heard so I went with him. He said that the police did not have probable cause to arrest me for DUI as they never saw me actually driving. Despite the fact that the police said I "had to get there somehow", he went to court with me 3 times and finally convinced the judge and prosecutor to throw the charges out saying the state could not prove that I had been drinking before I parked the car the wrong way. I paid the court nothing, zip, nada. I have learned my lesson and won't be drinking and driving again. If you ever need a lawyer , this guy is good, really good and knows his way around a courtroom.

A real court lawyer

I hate to admit it but me and my family have used more than our share of lawyers for both accidents and criminal issues. I dont think Im an expert but I know my way in the system. Recently I got a weed charge and Mr. Stanley was able to get it downgraded to just a disorderly conduct. He was real r...easonable on the money front and I needed him to come thru for me as I would lose my job if I have a drug charge on my record. Thank you Mr. Stanley!

Best lawyer to get you out of a bad situation!

Last year, two buddies and me were driving on Route 80 in NJ when we were stopped by the State Police. The driver had a bag of weed on him and there was a bag on the front seat floor and on the back seat floor. The New Jersey State Police charged all three of us with simple possession of marijuana. ... The three of us hired different lawyers to represent us with me hiring Mr. Pietruska. He reviewed the discovery package and noticed that the State Police only tested one of the three bags. My two friends lawyers didn't notice this fact and their lawyers told them to plead guilty and go into a pretrial program with fines of over $1200! When we all went into court, my two friends did just that and plead guilty to the Judge. My lawyer, Mr. Pietruska then told the Judge that the prosecutor would need to dismiss my case because the prosecutor could only prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there was one bag of weed and could not possibly prove who had the bag and that there were already my two friends both pleading to it! Needless to say, the prosecutor had no choice but to agree with Mr. Pietruska's assertion and the Judge promptly dismissed the charges against me! If you are ever in need of a lawyer who is really smart, has very reasonable prices and always has your back you need to call Mr. Stan the Man.
