WTB Law successful OUI defense

WTB Law was the best thing we did to fight the OUI my son received in Orono Maine while at school. They have a set price for OUI defense from start to finish and offer a very fair payment plan--The first attorney I have ever known to do such a thing and thank god he did. It took us 18 months from s...tart to finish to get before the judge. Bill, Nathan and Laura were fabulous the whole time. The online communication portal was fabulous and kept us up to date with everything. Laura was always available and helpful answering questions and explaining the process. Nathans willingness to travel to Bangor for all pre trial stuff saved us so much aggravation. Mr. Blys court appearance was all I could have hoped for-- his knowledge about our case and the nuances of the law were an integral part of our win. If you end up having to defend yourself against an OUI in Maine. I would highly recommend WTB Law. Hopefully I will never need them again--but if I do--they will be my first and last call.

An Improbable Outcome!!

I came into Bill’s office a completely broken down mess in early June 2017. The night before I had pulled over on the side of the road during a panic attack. I wanted to keep myself and others on the road safe. An officer pulled behind me to do a wellness check. He had seen I had a history of a prev...ious OUI conviction and seemed to assume that I was driving under the influence. I have had major knee surgery and have some physical limitations, unable to perform physical sobriety testing. The officer arrested me, believing I was intoxicated and took me to the county jail. Upon arrival to the jail, I asked to use the bathroom as I take diuretics for high blood pressure. This request was denied repeatedly without any valid reason. The officer confirmed that urinating would not effect the breathalyzer result but would not budge. At almost 10 minutes into the wait period, I really had to go! In frustration, I said once, that if he wasn’t going to let me use the bathroom I wasn’t sure I was taking his test. I was then hauled off by guards and thrown into a holding cell. I was now facing a second OUI refusal and was devestated. Bill was honest right from the get go. The penalties I was facing were severe. After hearing my story, he reassured me that he believed me. The DA made no reasonable offer so we prepared for jury trial. Bill spent 4-5 hours prepping me for trial. We went to trial in December 2017. I could not have asked for any better defense. Bill was able to bring into serious question the officers’ memory, documentation and knowledge of field sobriety testing. The trial went unexpectedly into a second day. After almost four hours of deliberations, the jury was hung so a mistrial was declared! The DA’s office eventually offered a driving to endanger plea which I happily accepted. The other part of my case was the BMV portion. It took four rescheduled hearings for it to finally be heard on the fifth. Of note, the hearing was after my trial. The officer failed to appear, my license suspension was rescinded and it was over! Unbelievable! I could not have hoped for better outcomes. Regardless of our victory and even if my case had ended differently, I was very impressed with Bill and his office staff. Always polite, sympathetic, responsive and informative. A plus communication! I very much appreciated Bill’s honesty, even when it may have not been something I wanted to hear. He’s extremely knowledgeable and a strong advocate. I highly recommend him to anyone faced with this terrifying predicament that has significant and potentially life changing consequences. I am beyond grateful!

Great lawyer

I am from Massachusetts and was arrested for an OUI . I hired Attorney Bill Bly and he went to great lengths to tell me my options on how we could proceed to fight this. Very Good Attorney-Diligent and Compassionate

I hired Attorney Bly to represent me on a falsely accused OUI offense. He was very detailed and diligent in his representation of me, challenging every aspect of the case from the DMV hearing to trial. Bill understands the laws very well, is respected in the court room, and understands how to develop... a working relationship with his clients. If you want an attorney that really invests his time and energy into holding the justice system accountable and protecting your constitutional rights, you want to hire Bill Bly. If I had to do it all over again, there is nobody else I would want on my side. The results speak for themselves, which was a not guilty verdict after I refused to take the breathalyzer. The relationship and respect I have for Bill after his efforts on my case will never be forgotten.

OUI-refused

After putting myself into a very bad situation, I gave Attorney Bill Bly a phone call and set up an appointment. Not having ever been in trouble before, I was confused by the situation and did fully understanding what was happened. Bill's no bs policy and straight shooting tactics on top of his exten...sive knowledge of the law put me as ease knowing that he was doing everything that needed to be done while I was able to continue to focus on the other priorities in my life. Bill was always accessible and answered any question I had very quickly. Bill was able to take a virtually unwinnable case and settle the case out of court for a greatly reduced charge. He was able to help me move on from a mistake that would of been detrimental to my career with minimal damage. I want to thank Bill for everything he did for me and would strong recommend him for anyone going through an OUI.
