Best Possible Outcome

Driving home from a rehearsal dinner, I was pulled over for speeding. I answered honestly when the officer asked me if I had had anything to drink. The officer asked me to step out of the car for a field sobriety test. I was tired from an abnormally exhausting week, but did not feel impaired and s...o was happy to comply. After a field sobriety test, I was arrested for OUI. At the station, I blew a .06, was told I made a poor decision, and was given a court date before being released with no bail to my own recognizance. This was an incredibly scary and traumatic for me. My job heavily relies on my reputation, and I had thought I had blown up my life. After an anxiety filled weekend which included regular waves of grief and shame along with several sleepless nights, I finally called the Maine Criminal Defense Group (MCDG). I’m so glad I did! I first spoke with Laura, who was reassuring and helped put me at ease. The next day I spoke with Attorney Bly, who went over my case. He was exceedingly professional and knowledgeable. Since I had already done a soft intake with Laura, Attorney Bly came prepared with the broad strokes of a game plan. I decided to hire MCDG immediately and have not looked back. My case was then assigned to Attorney Hitchcock, who promptly set up a meeting, answered all my questions (then and throughout), and developed a successful plan. In short, he worked with the DA early in the process to get me the best possible results. The DA has now agreed to file a NO COMPLAINT assuming no further legal trouble between now and arraignment. Throughout the process, Attorney Hitchcock was highly professional and communicative. He was able to connect me with a drug and alcohol counselor to evaluate concerns regarding misuse and to provide help if needed (in my case, there were no recommendations). This proved helpful in working with the DA. Additionally, Attorney Hitchcock notified me promptly of all new developments in my case as they happened. I was given the best shot at the best possible outcome. It was also clear throughout that I had a whole team working for and with me. The professionalism of all involved with MCDG granted much peace of mind in the uncertainty and difficulty of waiting for resolution. I had first considered them because of a review that said that they “under promised and over delivered.” This has certainly been my experience. I highly recommend MCDG as a whole, and Attorney Hitchcock specifically. I have no regrets about my decision to retain them as my representation.

Trespassing Violation

The law office was able to promptly meet with me via video conference. I spoke with William Bly, who provided a thoughtful, yet honest assessment of my case, and offered clear guidance about what I could expect. He then set me up with his colleague, Mark Singer, who was able to work with the DA to ob...tain a resolution which would not have a lasting negative impact on my life/career/etc. All members of the firm were extremely personable, respectful and responsive, and I am confident that they all put forth their best effort to ensure the best outcome for me.

A big thanks to Attorney Bly

I am a Massachusetts resident who had the misfortune of being arrested for an OUI in Maine. This was the first time I have ever had a problem like this and had no idea what to do which caused me a lot of stress. The day after the incident I searched for a Lawyer in Maine and found Attorney Bly. I cal...led and he took the time to talk to me that day on the phone, made me feel much better knowing I found someone who understood my problem and that relieved my stress. He handled all the paper work including telling me I did not need to travel back to Maine for the arraignment since he could go in my place. Dealing with him was easy even though I was 2 hours away, he was very prompt at returning calls and answering messages on MyCase platform. I feel he got me the best outcome in my case since I was facing mandatory jail time for refusing breathalyzer.

OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL

Mr William T Bly and his excellent staff, Miss Ann, were OUTSTANDING in handling my OUI case! They were very understanding, prompt in there communications and extremely knowledgeable in assisting me with my case. In the end, Mr Bly managed to have the case dropped - a consummate professional in every... sense of the word!!! I was charged with a felony OUI, felony habitual offender and theft of a motor vehicle and Attorney Bly beat the case at trial.

I spent nearly 60 days in jail before my family bailed me out. Attorney Bly filed a writ for habeas corpus due to the fact that the Sheriff held me illegally. Once I was out, I met with my family and Attorney Bly to discuss my case. I've used a number of attorneys in the past five years and none o...f those attorneys had the guts to take my cases to trial. All of them had advised me to plead guilty in the past and as a result, I was in a very difficult position and facing a felony charge. Attorney Bly brought a professional photographer onto the case to photograph and video the Old Port which is where I was accused of driving. He also brought a top notch private investigator on board to interview the State's witnesses. The trial lasted 2 days and I was facing a mandatory 3 year jail sentence. The jury came back with a verdict of NOT GUILTY. I've never been more stressed out and then relieved about anything in my life. The only people who believed in me were my family and Attorney Bly. He never questioned my innocence and never tried to get me to plead guilty. I thank God that Attorney Bly came into my life. He kept me and my family informed during the entire process. When necessary, he would meet with me at night or on the weekends. Whenever I needed him, he was there for me. Thank you Attorney Bly! I owe you.
