I know that this will be just another five star review. For someone as spectacular as Michael this has just become par for the course. I was arrested in June of 2016 on my second OUI charge. Honestly, I felt completely lost afterwards. The morning following, I looked up Michael and found rave reviews... for him. He contacted me nearly an hour after I had emailed him and was prepared to take on my case. I was nervous going forward but he was very concise in clear in his expectations for me. I filled out the survey he needed and then when I was due in court in Ayer the following Monday morning he had his assistant Julie there to support me. It has been a long process, I have had to go to multiple hearings and it has taken over a year to get where I am now but in the end I could not have hoped for a better result. I went into court feeling prepared after I had talked to Michael about my options, he walked me through the process and gave me honest, albeit harsh possible scenarios. I knew going into the trial that I could possibly face jail time, and this could have destroyed my career and family. In the courtroom Michael is a wizard. He expertly spoke to the jury, and cross examined the arresting officer. To my knowledge this was a new judge for him to work with at the Ayer District Court, and he was calm, cool, and collected. Michael's defense really focused on the lack of evidence and inconsistencies in the testimony of the officer. When I was on the stand he asked the right questions, and prepared me for the worst the ADA could throw at me. He left her in his dust, he made her appear unorganized, and unready to face such a formidable lawyer. When the time came for jury deliberation Michael still remained very realistic about the possible outcomes. Despite the fact I suspected he felt great about the outcome of the trial, he still let me know all the possibilities I faced. When the jury returned and was prepared to read the verdict Michael calmly turned to me and told me to try not to react to the verdict. It was the longest minute of my life, but as they announced that I was not guilty on both my OUI charge and a charge of negligent operation a dark cloud was lifted from me. Michael saved me, I feel confident I can sleep again at night and move forward from this. I could not recommend Michael more. He is exactly what you need when facing such a difficult time. Take it from me, if you are facing something as devastating as an OUI charge, much more a second offence you NEED Michael in your corner. Thank you Michael for everything, you save my life.
